We have really enjoyed the use of our new video camera. Because of your help, a simple research project has become something that every one of my students has fully enjoyed and invested themselves in. Their team and individual efforts have been incredible. I've enjoyed seeing their passion and imagination at work and (now that we're putting the finishing touches on it) I've found that our documentary has grown into something bigger than I'd imagined! Thank you for allowing my students this experience.”
Thanks to your generous support, the USB headsets with microphones that our classroom received from your donation will continue to help me prepare my students for college in a number of ways.
First and foremost, the headsets are an essential tool that helps me develop authentic learning experiences that foster good oral communication skills through inquiry. We've used them both formally and informally in our Information Technology in a Global Society (ITGS) class. My high school students have learned techniques for effectively recording and editing podcasts on IT issues ranging from video game addiction to wireless network security. Soon, they will be available for subscribers through iTunes. The students have also used them to record round-table discussions on the global impacts of social and ethical issues related to the use of ICT. The ability to record and share oral presentations is a boon to the classroom and an essential skill that will prepare this diverse group of students for college. Some of my 12th graders will use them later this month for primary research via Skype interviews.
In the current economic climate, it is not feasible for my school to provide these tools that will endure. They will be used over and over again, not only in my ITGS classes, but also in my 7th and 8th grade information technology classes. Thank you. ”

Thank you very much for the donation of digital video cameras to our school newspaper. We are continuing to develop this program in our school as a tool to communicate the thoughts, concerns, and culture of our students. Your donation will add to the sustainable life of the student newspaper, website, and yearbook program.
These cameras will also be used throughout the school for a wide variety projects and activities. Our students are engaged in project based learning throughout the curriculum. These cameras are in use constantly, spending very little time at rest. It is a struggle to keep fresh batteries in them and ready for action ! Once again I would like to thank you for your contribution to our school. Your donation has been a valuable addition to the resources we are able to offer our students. These resources will assist us in creating sustainable programs to offer our students. Thank You”

I want to offer my sincere thanks for your generous contribution to my students' learning. The computer is fantastic- it is by far the most capable machine I have ever owned. It does not crash several times per class like the old one. With it I can quickly download and display video in my classroom. In the short time I have had it, students have used it to view video from Frontline, Nova, Annenburg media, and other providers. They have created their own PPT presentations on the 5 characteristics of ancient civilizations. The computer enriches the learning experience in my classroom while I perform non-educational duties such as submitting attendance. For example, students in my AP class watch BBC world news in 1 minute while I take attendance, and then we discuss what we have just seen. This would not have been possible previously, and it amounts to hours of instructional time lost during the course of the year. Best of all, your donation will not only impact my students this year, but the 150 students that come to my classroom for many years to come. Thanks again, my students and I truly appreciate your support!”

Thank you so much for your donation of 5 copies of Sony Vegas video editing software to our school. Our students live in a digital age and more and more of their school work requires that they are able to communicate ideas and knowledge via other means than just pencil and paper.
Most students love working with video and several of their class assignments require them to edit and present videos. Until now, our students had to use the free video software on their computers at home or downloaded off the web to present. The quality of the video was not great and did not offer many capabilities. Now that we own 5 copies of Sony Vegas, we can require more uniform and higher quality standards for our students' work.
It will also be so helpful, that the students will have access to the software here at school instead of hoping someone has access to a program at home, because the school cannot supply the need.
Without donors and partners in education like you, our students would truly suffer.
Thank you for your interest and support for our school.”
With gratitude,
Ms. W.
