Cherry Hill is back and bigger than ever. MORE teachers, MORE money, MORE facial hair, MORE public ridicule.

The tadpoles were a big hit! My students came in each day and went straight for our tank of tadpoles. They could not wait to see them! Our little "pond" became the talk of the school. Many classrooms from different grade levels visited our tadpoles. This project not only benefited my students-but the entire school!
The students also loved the greenhouse! They were able to grow plants for loved ones for Mother's Day. My students loved taking care of their plants everyday, and took great pride in watching them grow. We even planted herbs and the kids got to taste them!
Thank you again for your support. This was an experience that my students would not have otherwise had and they will remember it always!”
All of you have brought so many new and wonderful experiences and ideas to the students by donating the many magazine subscriptions! The children have been able to read, visualize and understand many issues facing our world. So many of the students have not had the opportunity to discuss current world topics or see vivid images like the ones provided by "Weekly Reader 6-8," and "Time for Kids." Whenever we were sent new issues the children became so excited and were eager to absorb every detail. They also took such great care to keep them in mint condition so that students in other grades could enjoy them. I was very touched by the gratitude my students felt and the warmth that spread across their faces when they realized that complete strangers cared about them and donated their hard-earned money so that they could learn about the world outside of Baltimore City. ”
This is just a small token to thank you. We would like to thank everyone for all of the donations and support of this project. The whisper phones have provided so much assistance to my students who struggle with reading fluently. They really enjoy hearing their voices coming through. They help the students with decoding and time when reading.
The whisper phones that you have funded have really been beneficial to the students. They allow them to hear their voice and express their own concepts orally. As a result of the students using the whisper phones in our classroom, students have been inspired by the things they hear with their voices through the whisper phones. They like to read more now, and this will give them the confidence they need to continue their education in order to change the world!”
Thank you all so much for making a difference for children who really needed your help. The rhyming books and activities have made a really impact on our students' reading progress. Rhyming is a fundamental stepping stone in learning to read. Thanks to the activities and books you donated our students now have access to the rhyming skills that they wouldn't otherwise have access to. Our school district is facing a budget shortfall and our school doesn't have the resources to buy extra resources for our students. Without your generosity our students' would struggle with the key skill of rhyming that they need. The activities and books will give our students hands on practice to master the skill of rhyming and become better, more confident readers. Thank you for helping our little readers rhyme and grow!”
Thank you so much for your generous donation! Once I opened up the box and before I could even put the books on my shelves, I had students asking to borrow a book! Some told me that they really wanted to read Twilight since they saw the movie, while others told me that they wanted to read New Moon for the same reason. Some wanted to read Eclipse to find out what would happen next. And ALL of them wanted to find out what was going to happen to Edward, Jacob and Bella! This book series seems to have crossed all gender lines and age lines because I have students as young as third grade and even some teachers who want to read the books! You are wonderful!”

As another exciting experiment came to a close in my classroom today, I asked my students if they enjoyed the lesson. Unanimously they replied, yes. Hands on learning makes a much greater impact than simply reading about something in a text book. You have connected my students with the materials needed to do just that.
The mass sets that your donation helped to bring to my classroom have been used in experiments all school year long. My students have learned a great deal; since this is the first year that I have had mass sets, it was easy for me to compare how much they have learned with how much my students last year learned without these experiments. The hands on learning that I love so dearly has reinforced skills in a meaningful way for my kids. Thank you for helping me to be a better teacher, and thank you for believing in our students and our public schools. With your help, we can all succeed”
Thank you so much for the resources you have provided to my students. One of the first items we used was the place value magnets. My students have always struggled with this concept. We were reviewing in order to prepare for learning two-digit addition. My students were able to interact with the material and it really improved their ability to grasp the concept.
Additionally, my kids really love the math games. Whenever they finish their math assignments before the peers they are constantly asking if they can play one of the math games. Thier excitement is awesome. They come in excited about working on a game they started the previous day, and they are reinforcing the skills they need in order to be successful in their future academic careers”
I am so grateful for your donation! Your help has provided an LCD projector for my class. I use the LCD projector for everything from giving notes to showing films associated with the texts that we read. It is amazing how much the LCD projector has revolutionized my teaching and my students' learning.
My students are from an extremely under-resourced community and my school is in turn also under-resourced. With the LCD projector, my students are able to be exposed to different modes of learning that they may have not otherwise been exposed to.
Thanks again for your help!.”

Thank you very much for supporting my project entitled, Puzzles, Please! My students thoroughly enjoy working on the puzzles that you have purchased for us. Every day, the children work in small groups to complete the floor puzzles. At first, they were apprehensive about putting together 30 piece puzzles, but now they are pro's. They challenge each other. They cheer each other on. And most of all, they work together solving problems. I am so proud of each and every one of them.
We also enjoy the smaller wooden puzzles each Wednesday morning as a part of our "Morning Mania" activity. I place the puzzles on the individual tables and allow the children to work on them individually or with a partner. The students love Wednesday mornings. They get such a feeling of accomplishment as they complete each puzzle.
Thank you again for supporting my classroom and helping to increase the problem-solving abilities of my students. You are the best!!!”
Thank you so much for your generous donations that allowed us to have a LCD projector in our classroom. We have already used it several times to project interesting websites, movies and for diagrams and note taking.
Recently we watched "Super Size Me" which was a fun way to introduce students to the basics of nutrition and the dangers of fast food. We will be using it in the future for projecting computer based lab simulations so students can do more advanced labs even though we do not have all of the actual equipment in our school.
Having a LCD projector in my classroom is an invaluable tool to use in capturing students interest in any topic that we cover. It is a tool I will use often for the remainder of this school year and many school years to come!”
