    Funded Dec 14, 2008

Thank you so much for your donation. Our students will be extremely excited to have real fossils that they can examine and hold in their hands. The Chemistry supplies will definitely come in handy with allowing the students to understand the structure of the atom as they are able to actually manipulate the protons, neutrons, and electrons. I am very excited to have the periodic table game in my class for the student to learn about the structure of the atom as well as ions and isotopes. This will provide them with a "fun" learning experience”

  • Readers need Read Magazine

    Funded Dec 16, 2008

What a pleasant surprise! Honestly, given the economy, I wasn't really expecting to get funded, so you've made my day. Thank you so much for your donation.

If you remember your own middle school days, you'll remember that middle school students can get a little bored with textbooks, so the plays in Read will provide them with some variety (not to mention a fun, active, way of reading). Plus, much of the magazine is centered around student-friendly versions of classics like Frankenstein, The Odyssey, and various Shakespeare plays, so I'm hoping it will build cultural literacy as well.

Thank you again and have a joyous and peaceful holiday season”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ralph

    Funded Dec 6, 2008

What a great way to start the week! It was such a welcomed surprise to see that my project had been funded. The students will be so excited to hear about the materials coming their way. Thank you so much for your generosity. The students will be able to grow and learn so much more with the Time for Kids they will now be receiving once a month. I truly believe in the phrase it takes a village to raise a child, so thank you again. Happy Holidays.

  • A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words!

    Funded Dec 15, 2008

When I drove to school this morning, all I saw was a gloomy, rainy sky and lots of traffic congestion. I walked into the building, thinking about all the work I had to do at school, as well as all the errands I had to run after school. Imagine my pleasure and instant change of attitude when I saw an email with the subject line of, "Your proposal has been funded"! Oh my gosh! With that email, the sky brightened, my workload didn't seem heavy, and my traffic woes were forgotten! I began thinking of all the ways I could incorporate the camera and pictures into our school publications, public relation efforts, student self-esteem builders, and curriculum enhancements. Thank you so much for funding my proposal. The students, parents, staff, and public will benefit from your generosity. Thank you.
