I keep asking myself why I am doing this again, and I keep reminding myself it's for the kids...and those fabulous mustache enthusiasts. Please help make my personal pain worthwhile! In our first year, last year, Charlotte broke grower and total donations records across all Mustache For Kids chapters in the country. • Kindergarten Recycles And Conserves

    Funded Mar 10, 2009

I would like to convey my deepest gratitude for your generous donation to my Kindergarten class. The resources that you provided for my class gave them a hands-on, engaging way to learn about how to keep our Earth healthy and clean. They had several puzzles and games that really taught them how to recycle. We now have our own library that shows Kindergarteners what it means to recycle, reuse, and reduce. By the end of our studies, each of my students could tell you what these terms meant and give examples of how they could do it themselves at home or at school. We cleaned up our school grounds and used some of our own waste from home to make colorful arts and crafts to decorate our classroom. My students learned that taking care of Earth can be easy and fun!

My children know who gave them these resources and truly enjoyed every minute of learning about conservation. All of this is thanks to your generosity. We are truly grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sullivan

  • Celebrating Diversity

    Funded Dec 1, 2008

Thank you for funding this proposal for my students. These resources will certainly help our second grade students understand the differences in cultures around the world. Through your generosity these books will be able to serve our students in need this year and the years to come. Thank you once again”

  • A Multicultural Library

    Funded Dec 12, 2008

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My students will be so excited! The last set of books from DonorsChoose donor's were a huge success and have spent a lot of time in student's homes. I am sure these will receive the same type of attention! My students seem to be more willing to borrow classroom books versus library books and my classroom library receives a lot of attention. Your donation will help increase the variety of reading material available to my students. When I told them we had another grant funded the response was "man! People really like us!" So, your donation not only provides relevant reading material but also provides my students with an example of giving that impacts them on a very personal level. Thank you so very much”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Board? Not With Your Help!

    Funded Nov 26, 2008

What an amazing Thanksgiving surprise to find an email from DonorsChoose.org saying that my project has been funded! How thankful I am to donors like you who support my endeavor. Teaching isn't always an easy task, but it is always rewarding. I thank you for your sacrifice to give to a cause that will inspire and motivate my young thinkers. I thank you for your commitment to insure that each child has the wonderful opportunity to reach, achieve, and not be "board."

    Sincerely,

    Dian”

  • Read It, Tap It, Use It - Alternative Forms Of Energy

    Funded Dec 14, 2008

Please accept my sincerest thanks for your donation to our school media center collection. We are a small school with a tiny annual budget for new materials. Your gift of 18 new books about energy-related resources is greatly needed and appreciated. Our students will have access to these materials to check out for independent study and the books will also be available for teachers to use for researching class projects. Thanks to your generosity, our students will have current information available to them as we study science and social studies topics on forms of energy, alternative forms of energy, global warming, and the strategies we can use to help make our world a greener place”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. K.

  • Help The GREEN Recycle!

    Funded Dec 11, 2008

I would like to thank you so much for contributing to this project! Ever since the implementation of The GREEN club and my AP Environmental Science class, I have been looking for ways in which we could positively affect the community. Your gracious donation will help my classes and students "give back" to the Earth. By showing your commitment to us via our recycling project, you have shown us that you care for our planet as well. My students and I look forward to the positive changes that will occur around campus thanks to YOU”

  • Let's Get Moving!

    Funded Jan 1, 2009

What a lovely New Year's surprise!

You can not imagine how exciting it was to return to school today and find out that you had funded our request for Physical Education equipment

After all of the holiday treats my class and I had during our holiday break, we need the physical education/movement activities more than ever!

When I made the announcement to my class, one of my students, Gilbert, said, "That's radical!"

I can't wait to plan and implement the activities we will be able to do. I will definitely use this opportunity to have teams of students creatively design "obstacle" courses using the equipment you donated, In this way I can have the students make their PE/movement lessons more cooperative, interesting and motivating.

    Thanks again for your generosity”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kelleher
