It is with mixed emotions that I am participating in Mustaches for Kids. Thank you for the LeapFrog Tag readers and LeapFrog Tag books. The students are having a great time reading the books as you can probably tell from the pictures. They ask every day if they can "read a Tag book" or "read with a reader". At the beginning I saw my students exploring the pages after the reader read to them. Now they still explore the pages and they revisit their favorite books and visit new books (always a worry for teachers), but I have seen them now explore the learning aspects of the readers. The way the books can help them learn to read individual words and phrases and how to read them with expression. I can see how their individual growth as a reader will increase as we go through the rest of the school year.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Townsend Press and 20 other donors.
Thank you so much for your amazing generosity! My students were super excited to open all these fun math games and centers. These math centers include a broad range of topics - everything from place value to fractions to 3-digit multiplication. The students have totally loved playing the partner games not only during math centers, but also during indoor recess and bus call. Number sense is not a skill that can be taught overnight, nor is it a skill that students can simply memorize. Students have to manipulate, work, and play with numbers on a daily basis in order to develop number sense. Thanks to your donations, my students are having fun with math and becoming real world math thinkers - and yes - they now know that they all have ten toes. :) ”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Constantine
