Greetings, badgers, creepers, and supporters! We're joining forces this summer to raise money for kids across the United States in honor of GlamNation.
Badgers and creepers have already shown their generosity, team spirit, and willingness to pitch in where it counts via separate group projects, and we are now very proud to come together to show what we can do as a team!
Thank you very much for your generous donations to my classroom. I am so grateful to you for providing my students with brand new crayons. I had never had new crayons for as long as I had been teaching because there were old, broken ones to use. My students hated coloring with them because they were dull, short, and pulling the paper off was really difficult.
Now things are different. My students love drawing with crayons now. Their eyes became wide and their jaws dropped when I first showed them the new crayons, which is something many of them had never had. They really like the wide variety of colors available for them to use as well as the sharpeners so they never have to worry about the crayons being too broad for the details in the drawings. The metallic and glitter crayons were a really big hit, and sometimes, my students want to come in and draw with them instead of going to recess.
So thank you very much for choosing to bring the joy of new crayons to my students. You have made drawing so much more enjoyable! I hope you like the photos of some figure drawings my first graders made with their new crayons!”
Thank you so much for all of the math manipulatives that you helped my classroom to receive. You have put math into the hands of my underprivileged but very deserving students.
In these hard economic times, it is challenging for teachers and schools to provide the resources needed for students to be successful in the classroom. The math games and activities that I was able to purchase with your donations has greatly impacted these students. They are now not only able to learn about math, but also able to touch and feel math. These students are getting a hands-on experiences as to what math is and how it impacts their lives. This is all done thanks to your generous support.
I cannot express in words how grateful I am for your generous donations and my students say Thank You Donors!!
With extreme gratitude,
Mrs. Davis”

Your generosity provided math supplies for my students that they use every single day in our classroom.
We use the counters to help us work out math problems, to learn one-to-one correspondence and to make patterns. The number lines enable us to visualize complex concepts of addition and subtraction. The math trays make it easy for us to show what we know about venn diagrams, graphing, patterns and sorting. The building numbers kits challenge us to build fact families.
We are most excited about the place value blocks. We use them to model numbers that otherwise might be very confusing. It's so cool to see that the number twelve is one ten and two ones. We can use the place value blocks to break numbers down and to build new numbers, making addition and subtraction easier to learn.
When we first got our materials, we were nervous about using them, but now they are just a part of our daily routine.
Thank you so much for providing such great supplies for us! ”

Thank you so much for donating to my project "Adventures in Reading!". We have been reading Lions at Lunchtime and my students absolutely love it! With enough copies of the book for everyone, all of my students have been able to read aloud and practice fluency with paragraphs from the book.
My students reading comprehension scores have improved and they are beginning to understand concepts such as characters, setting, prediction, and inferences.
We are going on a field trip to the zoo in January, and the kids are very excited to see all of the animals from the book in real life. They can't stop talking about it!
Thank you again for your donation. My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity!”
Thank you all for your generous support of my classroom. Our items have arrived, we are back from break and my students have been hard at work learning the periodic table. Just today we did an overview of ions, isotopes, periods and groups.
The items that you contributed to my classroom address a variety of learning needs and styles. There are activities that we can do for the hands-on learners. We have nice visual presentations aids that help all students but those with a more visual learning style in particular.
It is through your individual efforts that I am able to improve the curriculum in my classroom. You have had a very direct impact on my students and their desire to learn science. With the appropriate materials, not only will my students understand and retain more but they will want to learn more now and in the future. Hopefully, working together, we can inspire students to keep pursuing science education”
Thank you so much for your generous donations of markers and modeling clay! We've been using the markers almost daily and still have plenty! What a great assortment of colors they have too! The modeling clay we'll be using for an extra special activity for my classes.
It's been such a tough last year with budgets being cut and eliminated, that it's a relief to have some basic supplies to be able to use and enjoy. Art is such a great area to be able for my students to be able to explore, even if only for 15 minutes a week during Library time.
I want to thank you for your donations to our classroom. The novels that you helped purchase for our classroom will help our students with their reading standards, as well as teaching them about how to become a better person within their community.
It is because of donors, like yourselves, that make me realize that there are people out there that truly care about all students. With the budget cuts and mandatory furloughs, this year has been hard. I know that it has not been hard just at the education level, but all throughout the country. Therefore, I appreciate your donations even more because I realize that many of us do not have extra money right now and yet you took the time, and money, to help out our classroom.
Your sacrifices for the children are much appreciated and I thank you for spending the time to help others.”
Having the classroom set of colored pencils and numerous gel pens has been a wonderful addition to my classroom. The students were using these items almost weekly. Each of my students designed a brochure about what he learned in astronomy. The colored pencils were used to give the brochure color and added interest. The gel pens were used to draw and label constellations. The students enjoyed using the gel pens on this activity. Most students used two colors to add emphasis to the chart. When my students were drawing and labeling volcanoes, sea floor spreading, topography or other items, having these colorful pencils and pens added fun to the learning process.
Your generosity to my class is greatly appreciated. Without your support to my class, this would not have been a possibility for my students. By having these items available my students definitely enjoyed doing the drawings assigned.
It is amazing that total strangers are willing to help my classroom. Thank you for making this project possible.”
Thank you all so much for giving so that my project was funded. All of the 6th grade students at my school used the clay to create their own mythological creature. They are using this creature to write their own myth, and they will use it in their animal study in science. The students are so excited about being able to use their creative abilities in such a unique way in my ELA class. This excitement is carrying over to their writing. The students are working on their myth now with an enthusiasm for writing that I haven't witnessed all year. Your donation made this possible.
Not only are the students excited in the ELA classes, they are fascinated by how ELA and science can be connected in such a fun lesson. In science, the students are learning animal classifications and identifying all the animals and each unique classification of the mythical creature they created in ELA.
I can truly say that your donations have made learning fun! The students are excited and so am I.”

Thank you all so very much for your support of public education. My biology and marine science classes have begun units on the microscope. The students are having the opportunity to learn all about using a microscope and look at a variety of really interesting prepared slides. I am hopeful that we eventually will make some slides of our own.
It was very gratifying to see the interest my students were taking in science during these activities. They were interested and very engaged. You cannot put a price on that. This learning is invaluable. Thank you again for your willingness to help students pursue knowledge in science.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Rodrigues
