Thank you all for your generous donation of this new technology in the classroom! I set the equipment up during open house and students enjoyed looking at themselves and telling their families about the activities they participated in! I am excited to use the projector for so many other activities. I am planning on making interactive PowerPoint's that are relative to students. Next week we are walking to the recycle center and I will take pictures of students during this activity and create a slide show for them to review view after to talk about what we learned on the walking fieldtrip! Thank you for opening up this new mode of learning for my students!”
Thank you very much for the HP net book! We have enjoyed using the computer. Some things we have done with the computer is: play with buttons and see letters appear on the computer screen, play online games (our favorites are nick jr., starfall, and kaboose). Recently, our field trip pictures for preschool play day were uploaded on the computer and students had the opportunity to look at them during centers. Students really enjoyed looking at themselves on the computer screen!
We truly appreciate this new way of learning in the classroom”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Rivero
This classroom project was brought to life by HP and National Lab Day and 4 other donors.
Thank you very much for your generous donation to our classroom. You should have seen the look on the children's faces when I opened the box of our dramatic play outfits and our cash register!
Today was the first day we explored the materials and I already can see how much it will benefit the students in the classroom! There was so much language and cooperating when playing "restaurant" in class today. Students also verbally shared what occupation they were and what they did. ("I am a chef, I cook!").”
I am eternally thankful for the classroom set of Maus. Thank you so much for helping to contribute.
As my students opened the books, their immediate reaction was, "Sweet, a comic book!" This rid the students of their apprehensiveness about reading a text. My special education students were especially excited to try something other than a traditional novel, which, because of their reading ability, they often find daunting.
My students were engaged and successful during their reading of Maus. They couldn't wait to come to class, which is something I don't normally find! Thank you for being a part of making my classroom such a welcoming and engaging place!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Weaver
