The happiness and gratitude of my students cannot be fathomed. They enjoyed looking at the videos you donated. The picture books of community resources as well as the living-on-your own activity books has been their everyday guide as they learn practical things they can use in the future and even at the moment. We have used these books everyday as they are helpful in creating lessons since we do not have Life Skills curriculum. The cooking booklets serve as their guide in learning new and easy recipes. Those assembly and sorting materials are very helpful across subject areas.
You just don't know how your donations have filled in the materials the school was never able to provide due to budget constraints. With the variety of materials you gave, it is no doubt that my students will be able to use them in their everyday lives. At the moment you made the donations and onward, you have made a difference in these students' lives which they will forever be thankful.
Life is indeed full of hope when there are people like you.”
We were so excited when our center stand was delivered to the school. We have so many wonderful centers, but it was impossible to have them all out and available to the students. We lacked the space to display all of the materials that students need on a daily basis. The addition of the center stand has allowed me to have more materials available for my "Fab Firsts" each day.
I know that as you donate to classes you are showing your belief in students that you have not even met. Your belief in both me and my students amazes me every day! Without the support of donors like you students around the country would not have the materials they need to be successful! Thank you for believing in and supporting public education.”
I wanted to take this opportunity to extend a warm thank you for your generosity. The Current Event Weekly Readers have had a tremendous impact on my students. Each week we spend one hour reading and discussing the news and issue contained in each issue. Two weeks ago we had a fantastic debate about whether parents should be jailed for not attending Parent-Teacher conferences. This debate was based on an article in the Current Events Weekly Reader.
The Current Events Weekly Readers provide me a resource to engage my students in real world content. That type of authentic learning and engagement is so wonderful to give to my students and I could not have done it without you.
I cannot thank you enough for this resource. You truly have made a difference in my classroom and in my students lives. ”
This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my speech therapy classroom. The hands on toys and puzzles have been in use every day since they have arrived. The younger students love the life-like pictures and have begun to point and vocalize while they play. For the older students, the social skills board games make the lessons fun.
All school systems are currently facing huge budget constraints. It is often difficult to receive materials that are specific to a small population of students as apposed to an entire class or grade level.
Without donors like you, speech language pathologist would never have the resource necessary to serve their students as there is such a wide range of age and disabilities. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
My students have received the materials and have found a new joy in their learning experience. The students are so excited to have center time and have enjoyed learning math with their new manipulative's. Their math scores have even increased with the use of the hands on materials.
There are many times throughout the school day, when a student finished his/her work early, during resource time, or lunch when the students are asking if they can get out one of the math centers to use. They are learning essential math skills through the use of the games.
On behalf of myself and my students, we thank you for your donations to our project. Thank you so much.”
Thank you once again for giving to this project! We were all so excited when the boxes started arriving! It was even more exciting as the math materials and manipulatives were introduced into instructional times and math centers.
My students love using the new flashcards with talking pens and frequently ask to play on the math mat to practice their addition and subtraction facts. Several of the new math games are a popular item during independent math centers. The games and manipulatives that you provided have allowed my students to gain extra practice in their math skills. The manipulatives are fun for my students, and they are motivated to learn and become more fluent in their math skills. It has helped to make those abstract math concepts more real and understandable.
Thank you for helping my students learn to love math! We will continue to use our new math manipulatives and games throughout the school year to reinforce concepts that are crucial to their math foundation.”
Thank you so much for helping to fund my request for a classroom kit. My students are so excited about the beautiful posters, the fun activities, and the ability to use technology to improve the quality of their interactions with the seven habits.
I know this will be something that sticks with them throughout their lives as they learn to believe that they are leaders and to make good choices. This could not have been accomplished without your help and we are so grateful that your generosity made this happen for us in our classroom.
Thank you so much for your donation to my project. Thanks to your generosity my special education students are able to more actively participate in independent reading and are gaining confidence every day. The TAG reading system allows for my students to read books on their own without the assistance of their teacher during center time when I am not in the room to provide them with service. My students enjoy the readers so much that they are now teaching their non-disabled peers how to use them. When I initially wrote the proposal for this project, I had never thought of this use. Yet after observing a "training" session run by one of my students I have seen what an amazing confidence builder it is for them. Very often my students are the ones who need the extra help from their peers and now they are able to teach something that they have mastered. Thank you so much for your contribution and for helping to empower my students!”
With gratitude,
Ms. D.
This classroom project was brought to life by LeapFrog and 10 other donors.
This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my students. The college and career books that you donated have helped my students greatly. They have helped my students learn about the college and career opportunities available to them. The books have also motivated my students to think about their future and what steps they need to take in order to attend college and have a successful career.
Many of our students will be first generation college students, so without your help, my students would not be as informed about the college and career opportunities available to them.
Without donors like you, thousands of students would go without valuable resources to help them plan for their future”
Thank you all for your support of our classroom. My students and I were so excited to receive all of our materials. It's amazing to see how many more students are turning in homework now that didn't before because they did not have the materials that they needed.
My students enjoy being given worksheets that involve coloring and cutting because they have the resources that they need. I also have been able to communicate with parents more efficiently by using the folders that you helped to purchase.
Its great to see that the students can enter the room and have pencils available for them to use everyday that has an eraser. Before your generosity the students were often using pencils with no erasers and using broken erasers to fix mistakes.
Our class plans on posting projects again on donors choose because of people like you. Our school, and our children's families at the school cant supply some of the basic things that our students need. Thankfully there are people like you to help us out.
Thank you again for all of your support. My class and I both thank you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kelley
