Welcome to the Adam Lambert Network Adam Addicts' Giving Page to support public school teachers and students. Since 2009, ALN has contributed more than $42,000 through a variety of campaigns to support 52,000+ students and 383 projects. Thank you so much to EVERYONE who has helped make these students' dreams come true!
Thank you for funding our wonderful collection of CD's and CD Player. The Putumayo Series is a great way to expose our students to music from around the world. It has allowed my students to gain an interest and appreciation towards other cultures through music from around the world. My students have had the opportunity to listen, sing, and dance to songs that they enjoy. My students have actively engaged in physical activities using the Learning Basic Skills CD's, and it is also a great way to reinforce their listening skills . Your efforts and commitment to provide us with this opportunity is greatly appreciated by the School Readiness Language Development Program (SRLDP) at our school.”
Your donation to my project "Got Drums?" completed a much desired hope. Your contribution has allowed all of my students to perform at the same time as a group. In the past, we played our drums in shifts, so we never had a truly whole group performance. By having these two extra drums, everyone is involved in the music making process at the same time. When I call my students out to the drums, the look on their faces is priceless when they realize there is a drum for every person.
Thank you for helping us make music as a group, we are so appreciative of your generosity. Thanks to your assistance, we are performing up a storm.”
I want to take this opportunity to share with you some of the many reasons my students and I are so grateful for your gift of hand bells. Many of the students at my elementary school have learned to put up a strong and negative attitude as a coping mechanism. While using these new instruments, my students have been able to relax, enjoy themselves, cooperate, and act like little kids. It has been so touching to watch, and I know the students appreciate the mental and emotional break.
Though that would be reason enough to thank you, know that these instruments have been also helping my students grow intellectually and musically. They have had to practice taking turns to make sure the person with the right bell plays at the right time. They enjoy playing songs they know, such as "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" as well as creating their own group compositions. In these groups, they must justify their individual musical choices and compromise to make coherent and lovely group pieces. Thank you again so much for making this possible.”
An educator by the name of Marian Wright Elderman said, "So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done".
What you have done for the students at my school is immeasurable. Your contribution will not only benefit them for the remainder of this school year, but your donation will have a lasting impact on student achievement and engagement for many years to come. Alex the EAGLE is certainly a gift that will keep on giving!
It is so refreshing to know that individuals like yourselves still exist. The generosity of strangers is something sadly that many people do not get to encounter. I am thankful that I am no longer one of those people.
I am truly grateful that you believe in the gift of school spirit its importance to our children. Your kindness has afforded my students with a sense of pride and joy!
Not only have you been an inspiration to me and a blessing to my students, but you have also motivated other teachers at my school to reach out, literally the World and seek assistance through this awesome online charity, Donors Choose. What we encounter on a daily basis can never be adequately explained, only experienced. What makes it all worthwhile is to observe the 'I get it' faces of our students and reaffirming deeds of kindness like what you have shown.”
First, I want to apologize for the delay in my completion of this package. This year has been professionally challenging because I am teaching new curriculum at a new school. When I first posted my project last year, I was looking for a way to play music in my fourth grade classroom. Then, I was transferred to a junior high school where I teach the Title 1 Reading Learning Assistance Program. LAP provides additional academic support to eligible students who are making progress towards meeting state reading standard requirements. Most of my 7th and 8th grade students are struggling in most of their classes due to their reading level.
Your donations came at a great time. I was able to get the iPod Nano this fall, which has helped struggling readers. I downloaded the audio for The Giver, which is a required novel for all 8th graders. My language arts students have been able to listen to the book on audio while following along. Also, I have allowed my LAP students to come in before/after school to listen. This has been very helpful to many of them.
This letter is but a small token of my thanks for your donation to my class. These are truly difficult times, and any contribution that can find its way to our school is embraced and remembered, but this one is especially thoughtful. A wide-angled theatrical projector screen will be used for years to come and my students and I were thrilled to receive it.
I can't describe how cinematic images come alive and nearly surround the classroom. The awe and beauty that a filmmaker attempts to convey to his or her audience really comes across thanks to your generosity.
Your gift has had an impact on all my classes, and it has allowed me to establish a film community on my campus.”
I want to thank you so much for your generosity towards my students. The students learned how much other people care about their education through this experience. The were amazed that people that they do not even know wanted to enrich their lives.
The iPod brings music into the classroom for this year and many years to come. The students love to dance and sing and learn. They have been enjoying the new music that has been brought to our classroom. They especially like practicing their self-regulation doing dances such as the chicken dance and cha-cha slide.
Your commitment and contribution to public education are so encouraging. Thank you again for your gift!”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Hilton HHonors and 7 other donors.
Let me start off by saying thank you! Thank you for your support of our wonderful rock program. As I have stated before, our starter equipment has shown its age. Our drums have gone through a massive upgrade. New Cymbals were purchased two years ago to replace the starter cymbals. Our drum thrones finally met their demise when the supporting leg snapped. Although we were able to get by with regular folding chairs, the inability to adjust the height was not working well with our drummers (hence this proposal).
The students have no clue that these thrones have arrived (with the exception of our wonderful drummer who has been in the rock program since 2009). I am sure they are going to love sitting on them while playing! With that said, thank you for your help in obtaining those chairs, along with a boom stand for our kick drum.
The kick drum stand will allow us to amplify the kick drum (large round one) and use for recording audio tracks instead of having regular microphone stands that you see singers use. And of course, guitar picks; you can never have enough of those!!!
So on behalf of my students, I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support in keeping our music program running like a brand new car. Thank you!”
Thank you so much for your generous donation to our Media Arts classroom. The funds you donated were used to purchase a computer capable or running markerless motion capture software. This software allows students to film themselves; load the films into a different program which analyzes their movements and converts the information to motion data. This data can then be used to animate 3d characters in a 3d animation program. Money is very tight these days so to have generous donors like yourselves contribute to advancing the skills and knowledge students need for the 21st century is truly appreciated.”
Thank you so much for your generous donation toward a listening center and a wireless microphone for my students. Every student in my class has had the opportunity to use the listening center and it has improved their reading fluency. Being able to listen to the weekly selection and record themselves using the listening center has helped them increase the number of words per minute they are able to read.
The wireless microphone has been an awesome addition to the classroom! I am able to use my regular voice without straining and the students are able to hear me perfectly. Students are able to read aloud using the microphone the entire class is able to hear, even the soft spoken students. Student participation has also gone up because they are so excited to hear themselves over the speakers in the class.
Since this project was completed I changed grade levels to fifth grade. The listening center and wireless microphone could be used for any grade level. Thank you so much for impacting my teaching and my student's learning! I know these materials will be used for years.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Zubiate
