  • Flipping for Families

    Funded Oct 25, 2010

On behalf of my Pre-Kindergarten students thank you. We have been able to use our FlipShare camera to take pictures of our Thanksgiving meal and share different classroom activities with our parents and our community.

We have experienced many budget cuts and having this wonderful technology is so valuable for us all. Our children's education is the most valuable asset we can give them thank you for being apart of that. Many of my students were astounded by seeing themselves on the computer. Bringing technology into the classroom was needed.

Again thank you for providing that opportunity for us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Padron

  • Creativity in Kindergarten

    Funded Dec 26, 2010

Thank you so much for your generosity!!! My students LOVE using the cool stuff you helped provide for them. It is nice to be able to change up the centers and put new things out for them to learn with. Teaching kindergarten requires a lot of hands on learning to be going on. Sometimes the students like to have a variety to learn from and so does the teacher. :-) The stamps are probably their favorite... they had a hard time at first excepting it was going to be messy but then they got the hang of it. That just goes to show how deprived they really are.

Your generosity has made it possible to make learning fun and interesting for my students. Thank you for that!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Battles

  • Lets Investigate

    Funded Dec 3, 2010

I just want to say thank you so very much for providing these AWESOME Science materials for my students to use. Science is being pushed very heavily right now and it was nice to have some materials that the students could actually interact with. It always helps to have something concrete to help them grasp the concept being taught. We play a game with the smellers... its usually boys against girls. :-) They get very competitive with each other. It makes learning fun!!!

Again, thank you for your generosity!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Battles

  • The Power of Listening

    Funded Feb 14, 2011

Thank you so much for your support in making my listening center a reality. I entered a classroom that had nothing, not even student desks. I had to request desks, chairs, and bookshelves. Most of the furniture I received was old and falling apart. I didn't have anything either in the form of a CD or cassette player until I was funded by your wonderful generosity. The students are using the listening center during center time and individual students are using it to reinforce their reading skills. Students are listening to CDs and tapes while following along in the book, a skill that is helping develop their reading skills.”

    Mrs. Ramos

  • Building Creativity

    Funded Nov 4, 2010

Thank you so much for your support in getting these materials to my students. They have been so excited when they use these materials. Their favorite is definitely the glitter pens. Oh what creative ideas I get with those.

They are also excited to use the visors on field day! We have been busy working on them thru out the weeks so they are ready to show them off.

Being able to provide my students with outlets with which to show their creativity has definitely provided a better classroom environment. Thank you once again for being our great supporter!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sanchez

  • Listen to Learn

    Funded Nov 22, 2010

I have received the IPod Touches you helped fund in my class. Thank you for your donation to my project. My special education students were excited about getting to use them. The class was also very excited about getting new books in our classroom. My special education students are now able to listen to stories while following along with the books. On the IPod touches, we have also found several great educational apps for the students to use. The IPod touches and books are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. ”

  • Totally Math

    Funded Oct 20, 2010

The students LOVE their new math centers!!! We have Fabulous Fridays where they get to do math and literacy centers. They enjoy counting with the new manipulative's you helped provide for my students. They enjoy putting the gooey fish inside the fish bowls. It also helps expand their vocabulary. I enjoy walking around the room listening to them talk about the different animals they have, pretending to go on a treasure hunt, and having ants sneak away their food at a picnic.

Their imaginations are awesome and it is nice to have learning games that help strengthen their counting skills while using their imagination at the same time!!!

Thank you again for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Battles

  • Books, Books, and More

    Funded Oct 19, 2010

Thank you so much for your generosity!!! The students love reading their new books. We also have the books downloaded to nanos and they LOVE to hear the stories from the nano. It is nice to give the students different means of learning especially when so many of them do not get it at home. Many of our students do not have libraries at home. We try to send home as many books as we can home with them but their exposure happens at school. It is important for us to have as many books as possible to read at school.

Again, your generosity has helped our classroom library grow... Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Battles

  • Organizing Our Wonderful Books

    Funded Oct 8, 2010

I have received the new bookshelves you helped fund in my class. Thank you for your donation to my project. My class was very excited about getting the new bookshelves in our classroom. The bookshelves that you have funded have allowed my students to enjoy looking for books to read. My class had taken pride in keeping the books organized. One of my students told me our classroom library now feels like the school library. The bookshelves are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. ”

  • All Hands on Books... its Time to READ

    Funded Nov 5, 2010

I just want to say thank you so much for providing such awesome books for my students. Their eagerness to read has blossomed! They thrive on story time. It makes a big difference in the students vocabulary when they are exposed to literature. They are able to express themselves much easier when they know words that explain what they are feeling and thinking. A lot of our students lack that exposure in their home environment. It is nice that we are capable of providing it for them at school.

Again, thank you so much for your generosity!!! ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Battles
