Thank you for funding the acquisition of the dictionaries and nonfiction passages. The excitement of my students using the materials on a daily basis is thrilling. My students have already benefited directly from their use.
The nonfiction passages are extremely useful in helping my students expand their vocabulary words. The passages are broadening the student's knowledge in areas and subjects they were not familiar with. The passages encourage many lively class discussions and further interest.
The dictionaries are such a valuable tool in my classroom. The students can use the dictionaries to check the spelling of words and learn meanings. I feel very fortunate to have these valuable teaching resources in my classroom due to your generosity.
We just got back from Washington D.C. last night around 8pm. All I have to say is ---THANK YOU! We are very thankful for your generous donation to the 7th grade trip. Thanks to you, no child in the class will missed this opportunity. I have been teaching long enough to know what the kids remember, what makes that impact on a child's life. While I would like to say it is each and every one of my lessons, I know that special learning experiences like an overnight trip to Washington D.C. are the ones that stay with a person for a lifetime. I still remember many of the facets of my personal trip to Washington and I hope many years from now our students do as well.
These are difficult economic times. I am mindful of that when I express all of our extreme gratitude for your donation. This trip was a large and expensive undertaking, one worthy of the cost, it would have been awful to have to scale down the learning experiences due to a lack of funds. I knew that the great people who support Donorschoose.org projects would come through and here you all are!
To everyone who gave, from the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU. This is a wonderful class and because of your generous donation they experienced Washington D.C. to the fullest.
We are already in the planning phases for next year. I hope that when the time arises you are able to continue to support us. Again, thanks.
Thank you”

I can't even begin to express my gratitude towards your generosity for my "Hawks Nest" reporters! Thanks to you, they have blossomed into amazing news writers! With your donations, they were able to learn how to use a digital camera to take photos of school events and teachers and students that were interviewed and then upload them to a computer. Also, they were able to learn how to use the Microsoft publisher program through the use of their computers. Additionally, there were more computers so that the students were able to effectively use their time typing their reports and stories rather then waiting their turn to use a computer.
Our school newspaper was even noticed by the large local newspaper company! Due to that, our club was able to take a trip to visit the local paper and see how they operate. The students were speechless the entire trip! I truly believe this trip happened due to the generous contributions that allowed for our school newspaper club to be the success that it is!
Thanks again to all of you!”

Ms. Williams

I'm not so sure that you know that your generous donation to my classroom project has been a huge success for the academic achievement of my students. The MP3 players and listening centers have been put to excellent use. We've used these tools to help strengthen the reading skills of all of our struggling readers. The MP3 players are helping build their fluency, word recognition, and vocabulary and context clue skills. These devices are currently being used with all students in all grade levels.
The current budget crisis in my school district has hindered our purchase of many needed tools to help our students with their academic needs. Without your help, our students would likely fall further behind. Because of your benevolence, though, we are able to serve our students well, giving them the needed tools to enhance their learning. Already, we have seen more and more students less apprehensive about reading. In fact, they are now highly motivated to read even more resources in our school library.
The movies in this project were a godsend. Not a week went by that we weren't watching at least a small clip of one of the movies that you have so generously donated. During our unit on Africa we watched a video about the Blood Diamonds, South African Aparthied, and the wonders of the African Sahara. Also, during our unit on Asia we watch the movie on China's One-Child-Per-Family policy and the 2004 Tsunami.
The movies we watched were able to help the kids visualize the concepts that I could only explain to them before. Thank you again for all that you have done.”

Thank you so much for your contributions - each one helped to make this project become a reality! I have already begun to see the impact on my students' learning, and I am excited to use these microscopes to enhance next year's science curriculum.
Learning about science is not just memorizing facts, but rather it is a process that involves learning to explore, observe, and question. These microscopes have enabled my students to do just that - they have begun to investigate the microscopic world! My students used these microscopes to distinguish between plant and animal cells. Actually using microscopes to do this, rather than just pictures in a textbook, has made our class much more engaging and real. Not only do they learn about the different types of cells, but they also learn about how to make these discoveries.
My middle school students are the scientists of the future. They will enter high school prepared to tackle scientific investigations, and attend colleges where they can make the next great scientific discoveries. On behalf of all my students, thanks again for your kind contributions.”
Thank you for your very generous donations to my butterflies, tadpoles and chicks projects. My students have learned a tremendous amount of information on the life cycles of animals and insects. Their engagement and motivation for learning has improved.
This unit is making a big impact on their research, reading and writing skills. Coincidental one of the passages on the state exam was on butterflies and tadpoles. My students were pretty excited because they were able to make a connection from personal experience.
My students and I will be visiting a butterfly exhibit, a reptile house and a chick farm where they will actually get to see these specimens in their natural environments. Your kind donations have enabled me to provide my students for a learning experience that they will remember for a life time.
Thank you so much for the HP Officejet multifunction printer and ink. By making a donation towards this project, you have boosted my students' excitement for writing. They are eager to write articles for our classroom newspaper that we publish on the new printer. We are also able to quickly print vivid pictures using this equipment. My students are able to use these pictures for both individual and group projects. Sure, we could use our old printer to print stories, but we would not be able to scan items or make extra copies of things that are needed right away. This machine also offers so many options and provides beautiful color prints.
Thank you so much for enhancing the learning that is taking place in my classroom. Without support from donors like you, many classroom projects could not become reality. Thank you again for your interest in education!”

Thank you so much for your contribution to our athletics program. The basketballs donated were used on a daily basis during practices and games. Multiple balls allowed us to practice various drills that we were unable to prior, due to a lack of basketballs. The ability to practice different drills helped improve player development at a much quicker rate. Our team managed to win the regular season conference championship and followed that up by winning the post season conference championship. Once again, thanks so much for supporting us with your donations!”
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your generous gift. It is not that often that people take the time to give so much to kids that don't have that much.
For many years, when I have wanted to start softball, I couldn't because the kids just did not have any gloves. So we stuck to whiffle ball or kickball. But now, we can get started finally.
Somewhere amongst the classes, is a future Derek Jeter or Jennie Finch. With your generous gift, the kids will get that chance to bring their skills out to the open.
Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Mr. Devanny
