What a great start to the New Year you have provided this classroom. Words are such an important tool for future learning and you have given a spectacular gift to enhance the education of these deserving students. I can hardly wait for the games to arrive so we can begin having fun and increasing these students’ vocabulary all in one. Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation will help countless children in the coming years.

  • TI-83 Graphing Calculators for High-Need Math Students

    Funded Jan 3, 2007

Our math dept has many students without calculators. Some high level math students take the SAT without a calculator. This grant will enable eight more students to use calculators in each of our seven periods each day. Hopefully some students can use these calculators for testing. We are grateful for your gift that made this possible”

  • We need a skeleton in our closet!

    Funded Dec 31, 2006

Thank you so much for your generousity! Having a skeleton model in our classroom for my students to see, touch, and interact with is going to make such a difference when we learn about the skeletal system next quarter. Getting good science resources for middle school classes can be difficult since many people feel that high school science courses are where it really "counts." I am so glad for people like you who realize that middle school is where students start figuring out where their interests are, so getting students hooked on science in middle school is critical! Thank you!

  • BINGO!!

    Funded Dec 28, 2006

I am simply thrilled that you were able to fund this proposal. I know that my students will have a great time reviewing and applying the math facts that they have learned while using the bingo games. The counting money game is a great one. A friend of mine at my old school had that game, and her class really had a ball with it. Thank you again for funding this proposal. I can't wait to get the materials and start using them with my class. I think you will be pleased with the pictures of my class using the materials.

    Sincerely,

    Monica ”

Thank you so much for funding our proposal. We are so excited to be getting a new carpet for our classroom. I could not believe it when I got the e-mail. • The True Story of Pocohontas

    Funded Dec 21, 2006

I am so excited to know that these books are coming our way. This is one of my favorite units to teach each year because the students are in such disbelief that the movie they have loved watching is almost completely false. They start to learn not to believe everything that they see on TV. They will soon learn not only to question what they see but also to determine what is real and what is for entertainment purposes. This book will be challenging for some of my students but they will learn valuable information.

    Thank you”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gale
