I cannot adequately express with words how much your donations to my Phoneme Phun Project mean to my students and me. Thanks so much to those of you who strongly believe in the importance of early literacy.
Your donations toward funding my project have enabled me to flood my classroom with opportunities for my students to explore the sounds of language. These items we have received have helped me to provide a phonemically rich environment.
My students and I are thrilled with our new learning center activities. Because of your support the children are now having hands-on opportunities to develop Phonemic Awareness which will help in their development in learning to read. We are forever grateful! ”
Your donations have given my students the ability to study physics in a new way. We have been using the index cards and paper you provided on a daily basis. I have been encouraging students to develop sound study skills that will follow them through college to help them accomplish all their aspirations. I can't express how this has improved their achievement levels on assignments and tests. I have found that using the flashcards has positively correlated with better scores in my class.
I know that your gift will not only help my students learn physics, but it will also improve their scores on the AP exam in May. This will allow them to earn college credit now, in high school, saving them tuition costs that they truly cannot afford. Beyond that, higher AP scores will make colleges more likely to grant my students scholarships and funding. Your donations will go far beyond my classroom and I truly appreciate your help. Please know that you have made a difference in the learning in my classroom and in the lives of my students.”
Thank you again for your kind contribution to my classroom and students. These math supplies are amazing! My students have really enjoyed using these new money center games. They look forward to math time, hoping that they can use the centers and work on their financial literacy. Many of the games they can use independently or in small groups which helps with having many centers running at the same time.
In our special education classroom, we use math manipulatives and supplies a lot! One of the favorite items we have is our money stamps that the kids use to figure out answers and they draw touch points on the coins to count their money. They also love using the dry erase boards and Cd's that came with some of the games.
I appreciate all of your assistance and ultimately this translates into better learning by my students!”
The book binders are wonderful. Even though we will not use them until the end of the year, I wanted to express my appreciation.
Several years ago, we started having an end of kindergarten celebration instead of graduation. We feel that kindergarten is the beginning of our students' educational journey. We invite parents, grandparents and other family members in to see what we have learned during the year. We sing, dance and recite poems. At the end of the program, each student presents a hardbound book to an adult caregiver. The book is titled "I Bloomed in Kindergarten" and represents the progress each child has made during the year.
Many families have expressed their appreciation of the books. Most have stated that this book is the best keepsake any of their children have ever made!
Your support provided the binders to make these books for all six of our kindergarten classroom. Thank you once again for helping our students.”
Your donation to my classroom project is so greatly appreciated. Words can't express our joy and excitement about our kindergarten laptop. We have used the laptop for online reading books, math counting games, animal research, and so much more. It's a daily activity that the children actually look forward to doing.
Our school has had so many budget cuts over the last two years. We could have never acquired such a helpful and vital classroom tool without the generous help from donors like you.
Again, thank you for the help and support that you have shown my kindergarten students.”
The new chairs are wonderful! They are heavy-duty. No longer will we have to worry about the cheap plastic splitting and injuring various body parts!!
The students are thrilled that everyone has matching chairs now. That may not seem like a "big deal' to us but believe me - it is huge to kindergarten students! Every teacher who comes into my room is envious. These chairs are so well made, they should last forever! I have had a few of these for over 10 years with no problems at all.
Thank you again for supporting South Carolina kindergarten students.”
The new computer station and chairs are wonderful! The old table was too tall for the students to reach comfortably. The new table is just the right size!
I love the slide-in tray for the keyboard. My students are still using mostly the mouse. Being able to slide the keyboard out of the way get the students closer to the computer. Our classroom printer fits perfectly on the bottom shelf.
Classroom organization has always been a stumbling block for me. The new computer station makes it easy to have at least one part of my classroom organized!
Thanks again for supporting South Carolina students.”
Words cannot express how much my classroom and I appreciate your generosity. This interactive whiteboard has enabled us to do review activities such as identifying subjects and predicates, matching the life cycle of a pumpkin, watching educational movies on websites such as Brainpop and BrainpopJr.
The students love when they are given the opportunity to use the whiteboard and are amazed that they are actually manipulating computer programs with the use of an interactive pen. I feel that student participation has risen because students are easily engaged at the fact that the lesson involves technology.
Thank you once more for making this dream a reality and may God Bless each and every one of you and may his light always shine on you.”
We are so very thankful and excited about your generous donations to our class project. The iPod has made such a difference in our room. It is a huge time saver. We're now able to enjoy so many more learning activities through music than we ever had before. We're learning songs and dances about the days of the week, months of the year, colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and so much more. I'll now be able to create playlists based on skills, holidays, seasons, etc. The list could go on and on. Thank you again for the support you have given to my kindergarten class. ”
The new rug is beautiful! The colors are bright and colorful. There is a square for each letter of the alphabet containing the letter and the picture. There are four empty squares on the corners for a total of thirty.
Each student quickly learned the letter that was his! This helped with letter recognition. We begin each day sitting on the rug for calendar time. We use the rug several more times during the day for story time. During center time, students play games on it or complete floor puzzles. We use the rug at the end of the day for our closing time.
Thank you again for giving my students a pretty, clean and warm place to sit!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Coward
