    Funded Oct 2, 2008

Thank you for funding "Lapboards for Learning!" When students come visit my class they will now have their own personal space. Having a lapboard will make it easier for students to write, and in turn, easier to focus and do their best work. Most children enjoy sitting away from a desk, so a lapboard will a new and exciting experience of most children. It is very important to have people in the community who help support children and education. The lapboards will be used by many students for many years to come! Thank you again for funding this project”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. T.

  • No More Worksheets!

    Funded Oct 2, 2008

Thank you so much for funding our No More Worksheets project. I have been trying to find some more hands-on ways to work with my students. The Independent Math Centers are great for Small Group Math time as well as math remediation time. We will use the Math Quiz Game Show to help review for our math tests (especially our first nine weeks test). I have also had many of my kids who really know there addition facts that are ready to move on to the concept of multiplication. The multiplication puzzles will be a good visual to help reinforce this concept. One of our hardest areas in math is regrouping. The pocket chart will allow them to physically show how they move to the tens place to borrow when they don't have a big enough number in the ones place. My students are going to be so excited when they find out that this project funded. Thank you so much for helping us out with our project. We really appreciate it”

  • Wait! I Can't See It!

    Funded Oct 2, 2008

First of all I cannot thank you enough for funding an under-privileged school. You have no idea how much of an impact this will have on our students' learning! I am so appreciative of your help that I am truly at a loss for words. I am planning on sharing this with the other Science teachers. Again, thank you so much!

    Sincerely,

    Kat”

    With gratitude,
