The students will be working in teams and compete with each other. This will be a fun way to assess their understanding. I know this will motivate them to work with each other. They are in second grade but due to various learning disabilities, some of them still do not know their letter names and sounds. Leapfrog is a great way to have them learn their sounds and letter names in a fun interactive way. I cannot wait to have the children begin using these materials.
Thank you so much! I really cannot begin to tell you what a huge difference you are making in our classroom this year! The students and I will use Brain Pop every day as we work on reading, math, science and social studies. Also, since the students will be able to view short, high-interest videos that are aligned to the standards, learning will come alive for them, and their vocabularies will increase by leaps and bounds. We will be able to take the quizzes at the end of each video, and we will do some of the hands-on activities too. Thank you again. I am very excited about using my camera to teach my students how to use a digital camera. We will also use it to create text that is developmentally appropriate for them to read.

I can't explain the happiness I felt when I opened my email this morning to see that one of my proposals had been funded. Our children are growing up in the technology age, but the community in which we live doesn't allow for them to have many of these technologies available at school. I know that having their own digital camera in the classroom will be so exciting for my students. They'll be able to take pictures while they are doing science experiments, add pictures to their writing assignments, and many other things that they could not do before.
