The Literacy Centers for multiple grade levels each have a differentiated, creative activity. Students learned very quickly how to navigate the color-coded guides and activities. They have even created their own games to use the manipulative's.

Your donation adds a dimension of learning that supports these students' learning styles. They eagerly finish their seatwork to be able to choose the activity of their choice. It motivates work to be completed by students. It also saves me time trying to keep students on task and interested in their learning. Your donation has inspired intrinsic motivation, a valuable tool for their academic success.

The Literacy Centers you graciously donated funds toward is extending out into numerous classrooms in our school. My students return to their homerooms and chatter nonstop about the games they play. Now their classmates and teachers want to see how learning to read can be fun and creative too.

Budgets get scrutinized and reduced everyday, especially in today's economy. Thanks to organizations such as yours who place a value on student educations and futures. ”

Thank you for funding my easel. Within my classroom I have varied levels of readers. The easel will enable many independent workstations to be used and be the center of guided reading groups.

The students love to play teacher and do independent word building activities.

They also will be able to display the work they do and use the easel for author circle. The easel will also hold the science big book during science class so it can easily be seen by the group sitting on the rug. I am very excited by the possible uses of the easel and for the independent learning that will happen in my classroom thanks to your generous gift.”

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! What else can I say. This year, more than any other year, the students are getting less for Christmas due to the economy and their parents' struggles to pay their own bills. This year it has also been very hard for us to raise the money that we have in the past to buy them some clothes and a toy. Thank you for helping us make at least one of their Christmas wishes come true. The kids are going to be so excited that they are actually going to receive the book for Christmas that they wished for, and that it is THEIR book and they actually get to keep it. How exciting!

Thank you very much for funding the white board for my classroom! What a terrific way to start off the new year! When we return after winter vacation, many students need a bit of extra motivation to get back "into" school.

I can not thank you enough! What a wonderful Christmas Present. My class was screaming when they heard the news. You have made a fantastic Berwyn First Grade Class VERY happy and a teacher feel appreciated. I can't wait to plan new lesson plans using our new white boards and markers. I am on our schools Green Team and it will show the kids that we do not have to use paper in all our classroom activities. The White boards will be used in reading, math and spelling. I like to play a game with them and ask them to spell a word and have them show me it for team points. Currently, we use paper which is so wasteful. The White Boards will be very useful in this game. The sentence strips will be used to create silly sentences. In this game the students will be able to move the words around to create a sentence.
