Thank you so much for choosing to fund my project. I know there are a lot of worthy projects posted on the DonorsChoose website, and I am honored that you chose mine. I believe that my students are catalyst for social justice and change. I do my best to expose them to issues and ideas beyond themselves and the familiar. Sometimes, these lessons and the realities that are faced by people around the world are difficult for adolescents to comprehend. I hope to use these materials to expose them to what is currently happening in Darfur. I hope through these lessons they will be encouraged to act. Maybe Darfur will not be the issue they choose to take up, but hopefully these lessons inspire them to do for others and to speak out against atrocities that occur. Dr. King said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." I truly believe in this message and hope to inspire my students to be global citizens who demand that we live in a just world and who are not afraid to speak out against injustice. Thank you for being a part of this project. Your donation affords me classroom materials that I would not have otherwise”
Thank You so much for your donation. I am truly and greatly appreciative. I think this project that I am about to embark on will truly help my students develop the much needed social skills to help them to become productive students and adults. Again I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you have done for me and my students. We are going to have a super time learning with the materials and supplies you have provided”
I can't think you enough for the laminator and stapler for the classroom. This will help so much in maintaining new games and for center activities. Thank you !!!!!
The students will have centers that will last for years. We will use these in all areas of the curriculum. They will make great literacy centers but yet will also be wonderful when we make farm cemters in social studies. We will make Mother Day cards for the student's mothers.
I could go on and on with all of the ways the students will benefit.
We at Washington High School appreciate your support of our efforts to make our school a little more "greener". We have now officially begun our recycling pick-up in certain parts of the building. Now, we can add additional sections of the school with these bins! We hope that by the beginning of the next school year, all classrooms will be involved in the recycling program, and our efforts will be reflected in the efforts of our students here at school and at home. Thank you again very much for your support of our school and our planet”
I want to express my sincere gratitude for your funding of my proposal. I have just started teaching my unit on genocide and was planning on photocopying excerpts of the book "Left to Tell" because I only have four copies at our school. With your generous donation of books, my students will be able to take copies home with them and we can actually read the entire text by the end of the year. I know that my students will be as moved as I was by the author's incredible story of survival, hope, and determination. By supplying these books to our school, you are helping both to engage low-literacy students in the act of reading, while simultaneously helping to prevent another generation of people from turning a blind eye to acts of genocide in our world.
God bless you and your generosity! I am so appreciative and excited about being able to provide these materials to my students for their educational enhancement. My students will be so very excited to receive these new books. The need for these materials is so great. With your assistance, my students will have reading materials that are more suitable to their reading levels while providing them with information and subjects that are pertinent to their interests. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you”
Thank-you so very much for your generous donation! Your thoughtful contribution provides fresh materials and resources to use in the last 9 weeks of school when our students tend to lose interest and we typically have more behavior problems. Additionally, it will be a wonderful way to start the new school year in August! I appreciate your concern and support in helping our disadvantaged and troubled students. Thank-you again for making a positive difference! Kathy ”
Thank you so much for your kind donation to our classroom. Listening to books read on tape is proven to help with reading fluency, word recognition, and comprehension. Not to mention, it is a fun and relaxing way for my students to enjoy a good book. Thank you for support DonorsChoose.org. It is a great way to link donors to the classrooms that need their help”
Wow! You have certainly made my day. We can hardly wait to use the switches and switch toys. I am so excited. Thank you so much for doing this for my special kids. This is going to help my students so much and make them so happy. I can't wait to show you pictures of the kids using the toys. Bless you.
Thank you for funding "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words." I am extremely excited about the new digital cameras and memory sticks we will be receiving. These items will enable me to foster creativity in my students as they prepare for future careers while mastering state standards. Generous donors like you allow students access to the latest technology in this 'digital age'. Again, thank you for your support.
