I was so very pleased to receive your very generous donation. The timing could not be better. Many of the classes in our school are doing serious research projects on all kinds of topics. At the end of their units of study, there is a school-wide reading/writing celebration. Many parents come to visit. The children are thrilled that they will be able to document the research process to show their parents/guardians. In addition, final projects will be photographed and shared throughout the school and on our website.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I cannot wait to share the news with my kids tomorrow!!! Right now, we are working on a great deal of projects, and this funding couldn't come at a better time, to provide for us the materials that we need to save and share work, so that teams working together can exchange research and ideas. Wow! I am truly grateful for the kindness of strangers. My students will just love to be able to have a reading rug that is fun, friendly and "comfortable" to read on. This will brighten up our classroom and make things much easier for us all. At the beginning of the year my students hated the independent reading period and now they keep asking for more. With your help more students will be able to read in a comfortable environment. Now I have two boxes full of books and I had no idea where to put them but thanks to you my students will now have a beautiful bookshelf.
