  • Who's Got Game?

    Funded Dec 6, 2007

Thank you so much for funding this proposal. Play is extremely important, especially during early childhood and these games will serve as challenging, enriching, (and fun!) activities during our center-time Fridays. My second graders will be ecstatic.

    Sincerely,

    Jacquelyn ”

  • Flash Drives For Creating A "Monthly Math Newsletter"

    Funded Nov 14, 2007

Thank you so much for donation. With these needed materials, such as flash drives and copy paper, my students will be able to create their own "Math Newsletter" for our class.

With the recent financial hardships of our educational system, gifts such as yours are appreciated. On behalf of the faculty and students at MS 113, thank you”

  • From Denmark to the Boogie Down: Grendel Meets the Bronx

    Funded Nov 1, 2007

I would like to take this time to extend my deepest gratitude and thanks to you for your very gracious donation! By funding this proposal you have just helped me to help make my students more grounded. I just told my students about the proposal today and some of them were so excited to get started that they wanted to try to raise the money themselves! They will be elated when I let them know that you have already granted their wish for receiving the books quickly. Thank you so much”

  • Young Artists Would Love to Paint!

    Funded Oct 23, 2007

Thank you so much for funding our proposal! Our art program has gotten off to a good start, and students have made "paintings" using oil pastel, but they keep asking when they will get to use real paint. Now, thanks to your generosity they will have the opportunity to create actual paintings”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. B.

  • "Of Mice and Men" for Everyone!

    Funded Oct 12, 2007

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my proposal and to fund this fantastic project for my students! You just completely MADE my weekend! ALL of a sudden, I can't wait to return to school on Monday and let my kids know about the amazing generosity and thoughtfulness of your donation. We will use your donated materials in mid-January, after our big state exam! Again, THANK YOU”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rosenzweig

  • How Do You Spell D-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-R-I-E-S?

    Funded Oct 11, 2007

Thank you so much for this important gift. It seems so simple ... dictionaries! But you wouldn't believe how few resources students in under-resourced schools do not have this vital resource. I just recently taught a lesson on how to use dictionaries and thesauruses and my students had to share 1 book between groups of 4! Thank you very much for your generosity”

  • Picture This: Knuffle Bunnies and Talking Pigeons

    Funded Oct 9, 2007

Thank you so much for funding this project. It means a lot to our class, especially since we have an autographed copy of Knuffle Bunny Too from Mr. Mo Willems himself! The kids are crazy about the book and will be so excited to create their own Knuffle-inspired texts.

    Sincerely,

    Jacquelyn ”

  • Globes: Class Set

    Funded Oct 6, 2007

Thank you so much for your kind donation. My sixth graders are currently learning how to use a map (direction, finding absolute location, etc.). I use one globe (which is broken and falling apart!) to illustrate important points and concepts. Since I teach sixth grade with students at a pre-abstract stage, being able to have hands-on experiences greatly increases learning. Being able to have a globe for pairs of students to use will be such a major asset.

    Again, thank you very much.

    John ”
