Thank-you so much for your donation toward my project. The students have begun reading The Hunger Games together as a class. This new and exciting work of young adult fiction has already enriched our class. The students have held discussions about survival, friendship, and identity. They are learning vocabulary skills, literary skills such as identifying figurative language and exploring literary themes, and developing a deeper appreciation for reading. Your donation has made this possible.
Reading this book would not have been possible without your donations. Our school does not always have the resources to purchase books in class sets. I love this book because it really captivates my students' interest which makes it much easier to teach. In addition, I have had students from other classes which are not reading the book as to read it when we finish. As a teacher of English and reading, this excites me.
Once again, thanks! Your gift has helped enhance the education of children here”
Thank you so much for your generous donation of books to my classroom. The students have greatly enjoyed the novels, and I count myself lucky to be in a class full of inspired readers. Your donation has gone a long way toward impacting many students' love of reading.
The students are devouring the books you donated to my classroom. The books are simply not staying on my shelves; as soon as students witness someone return a book, their hands shoot up to ask if they may check it out as well. They put friendly pressure on one another to finish books in a timely manner so that they may read the next in the series or the next book about the sport that interests them the most.
The qualities that the characters possess and the lessons they learn in the stories are having an impact as well. The students can easily relate to the topics discussed in the stories and enjoy sharing what they've learned with me and the class. Thank you again for your generous donation!”

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your generosity. My students and I appreciate your monetary donation very much. Without your donation, we would not have the appropriate materials for our listening center. My kindergarten students were overjoyed to have new Cd's that did not skip while they were listening to the story. This has given them great joy!
It is very important for these children to have a properly functioning set of books on cd for the listening center. Many of them are not read to at home, and this also provides the students with an extra boost of vocabulary exposure. This is imperative for a child that is just learning how to read and write.
Again, I cannot thank you enough for making this wish come true for us.”

Wow! Paper, pencils, crayons, markers!! Every teachers dream! My students are now set up with the supplies they will need for the year. I am really excited that they will not run out of paper and pencils. Can you imagine telling a first grader, "I'm sorry but I'm all out of pencils." I won't have to do that this year!
My students love to write! Your generous donations have given them the opportunity to practice their writing skills. I will be able to copy resources for them! The possibilities are endless when you have paper, pencils, crayons, and markers.”
The materials that you have donated have been a huge success! Math has become more real through the use of manipulatives. Students were able to move the place value cards into correct positions, making it easier to see numbers in standard and expanded form. We have not reached the unit on fractions/ decimals/ and percents, but they can't wait to use the circles. I introduced these manipulatives to them and was met with groans when it was time to put them away. I think their favorite thing to play with is the money and coins. The students were given a budget and a book order form. They created wish lists of books they wanted to buy and used the money to purchase and make change.
Since our school's area does not have a strong corporate tax base, your generosity has enriched my curriculum.
Thank you for supporting my students' education!”

Thank you all so very much for funding this project! Just after writing the project, I was told that I am actually looping with my current students and teaching them when they go to first grade next year. These books will be perfect because it was these students I had in mind when I wrote the project. I figured I would have to wait until Spring to use the books next year (with future kindergarteners). But now I will get to use them right away!! I can't wait to start the year off with new books! Thanks for making a huge difference in the education of our children.”

I would like to thank all of you for your donations to my "Creative Play in Pre-K" project. My students enjoy playing dress-up and taking care of their children in the Dramatic Play center. We have been learning about Community Helpers and about all the important jobs that they perform. These props have really made a big impact in the centers. I have seen an improvement in my student's vocabulary and language development which has enhanced their social skills. These new materials have definitely brought about a change in my students because they are now more actively involved and more curious to learn about the world around them.
By your kindness, generosity and belief in Education, you have helped to make a little kid smile!
Thank you so much!”

I cannot explain my excitement and sheer joy that has come as a result of your support for this project. Every year we have students begin the school year and are unable to get the full list of school supplies that are expected of them from each one of their teachers. This project will truly be a relief to those students as they no longer have to feel burdened with the thought of their financial issues. They will no longer have to worry about to being singled out by their peers for not being able to afford their supplies. Nor will they have to worry about being penalized for not getting their school supplies in a timely fashion. Everyone involved in this effort, my school, last year's students (as it was partially their idea as well), and my fellow teachers will truly be excited once these items arrive.
Again, thank you so much for all that you have contributed to my project. This project will help our students begin the school year off with the materials they need to be successful in my Geometry class this upcoming school year. I am extremely grateful for the time you took to consider my students and for your financial contributions... I pray and hope that the good you are bringing to the lives of our students will be paid back to you twelve fold!!!”

My third graders have enjoyed the new technology in their language arts and social studies classroom. I have noticed that my students are more engaged in the learning process. i have also noticed their excitement with observing documents that are projected on the screen in color and not in black and white as they were use to with the overhead. The third graders have created writing pieces that they can not wait to display on the screen for everyone in the classroom to see. I truly appreciate the new technology in my language arts classroom for all of my college bound scholars. ”
I am so excited to have my first project funded on DonorsChoose! I want to thank you for your generosity and let you know how much your donations are appreciated. Our preschool students are going to learn about their state and the great traditions we have in Louisiana. With your help, we will have some great new materials to help these young kids take pride in their local culture and gain an awareness of social studies concepts. Thank you again for your support of our students and educators across the country.”
