  • Come on Barbie! Let's Go Play!

    Funded May 8, 2025

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. My students were SO EXCITED to receive their new Barbie and Ken dolls for their imaginative play center.

They love that we have new Barbies with different careers to play with. They cannot wait to play with the Barbie baking play set as well.

Some of my students were so happy to see that some of the Barbie and Ken dolls looked like them. This is so important for my students to see themselves outside of their own image. Thanks to your donations we have made that happen! Thank you again for helping us out!”

  • Setting Them Up for Basketball Buckets

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

Practice was a blast this past week. The players were excited to jab step and dodge around the pop-up blockers. They took turns wearing the shooting guards and worked on one-handed shot accuracy. Our next game is Monday afternoon, and they are pumped up and ready to take on our opponents. We're approaching the last month of practices for the year, and will be sad to see our 5th graders moving on. But our 4th graders will rise to take the reins, and we know our graduating players will be superstars in their new middle school basketball programs. Thank you for fueling their passion on the court!”

  • Bridging the Cultural Divide

    Funded Apr 13, 2025

We wrapped up our Family Multicultural Food and Games Night last night. Over 80 families came together to share their cultures. They shared food, music, stories, and played multicultural games. The families had a blast. Mancala and memory were super challenging. It was amazing to see families and staff from so many cultures collaborating and communicating. Fun and festivities transcended cultural barriers. We learned to appreciate flavors, styles, and ideas. Thank you for helping to make this annual gathering such a success We appreciate your support.”

  • Kids Love Science

    Funded May 9, 2025

I extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution to our school project. Your support has provided us with the essential science materials we need, including candle-making supplies and a wonderful collection of National Geographic books.

Thanks to your kindness, our students are now able to explore hands-on activities like candle-making, which not only sparks their creativity but also helps them understand the fascinating principles of chemistry and physics in a tangible and exciting way. The National Geographic books you helped fund are already inspiring curiosity and exploration, opening windows to the wonders of science, nature, and the world beyond our classroom.

Your investment in our students' education is truly making a difference. These materials have not only enhanced our science curriculum but have also empowered our students to dream big, think critically, and nurture a lifelong love of learning.

Thank you for believing in the importance of education and for partnering with us to create enriching and meaningful experiences for our young learners. Your generosity reminds us that a community that values education is a community that thrives.

We look forward to sharing updates on how these materials are being used and the impact they are having on our students. Please don’t hesitate to visit our school to see firsthand the excitement and growth you’ve helped to make possible.

    With deepest gratitude,”

With little to no prior experience, they stepped up, learned to play basketball, and faced of against schools with more experience. Though the challenge was high, they pushed on and i am so happy to be able to reward their hard work, tenacity, and team spirit!”

  • Take Kindergarten Out to the Ball Game!

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

Spring is upon us, and the weather is warming. Our students are eager to get outside during recess and outdoor play. This is the time of year when baseball fanatics love to get out on the diamond and hit a few to the outfield.

This project is helping our kindergarten students understand an unfamiliar sport. They are expanding their cultural perspectives, building their reading skills, and learning about the Great American Pastime: baseball. They are enjoying listening to the Froggy book and reading Little Baseball book as a class and individually.

Thank you for putting these books in their hands.”

  • Basics and Books

    Funded Dec 17, 2024

It was just so much fun to have new books to read as we lead up to the holidays!

Herschel and the Hannukah Goblins was a big hit-- the students LOVED counting as the candles on the menorah were lit, and how Herschel tricked the goblins to save the town.

Coyote Christmas was a great Lakota story, our storyteller came and told it to the students, and they were so excited to read it in book form later in the month!

These cherished books have been added to our 'holiday' book bin in our classroom library, and I'm so appreciative that they are now part of my yearly reading in December.

Thank you again for the dry erase markers, the name tags, and basic supplies that our classroom needed!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Holmes

  • Tools for Imagination

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

When the big boxes arrived the students were so excited. I put the table and chairs together in the classroom and they were so excited to see them take shape. They eat lunch and breakfast at the table and then they use it for pretend play during center time. It is such an eye catching addition to our classroom and very loved and used by all of my students.

The students love to sit on the little couch in the reading center and read their favorite stories together. It is made of such a soft, durable, and wipeable material. It is such a comfy spot to enjoy a good book. It is used all day long as well.

I am so thankful for these new additions to our classroom and forever grateful to each of you who donated to make this possible. The table, chairs and couch will be well taken care of and enjoyed for many many years.”

  • Busy Minds Need Snacks!

    Funded Dec 17, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generosity in funding snacks for my classroom. Your support has made such a difference in our daily routine, and I can't thank you enough!

When my students first saw the snacks, their faces lit up with excitement and relief. Many of them rely on school meals, and having extra snacks available means they can stay focused and engaged in learning without worrying about hunger. One moment that really stood out was when a student who often struggles with concentration told me, "I feel like I can actually THINK better now!" Moments like these remind me how impactful even the smallest gestures can be.

With your help, my students can now tackle their lessons with more energy and confidence. As we continue our current projects, whether it's reading, writing, or hands-on activities, I know that having access to snacks will help them stay on track and ready to learn.

Thank you again for being a part of our classroom community. Your kindness truly makes a difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Page
