This project, Write it, Wipe it, Win it!, gives my classroom the supplies they need to participate in writing down math problems, solving them, and then flashing their board so I can see if they are understanding or if I need to reteach in a quick and efficient way. I find this is more effective than worksheets which they tend to find boring.
Writing and erasing what students have been taught in real time is fun and helps the concepts stick which, in turn, brings up their grades.
Having these supplies on the teacher whiteboard is also influential in gaining students' attention to what is being taught.
