I am a Speech Language Pathologist providing speech and language therapy/communication intervention across both inclusion and self-contained settings. My students are striving to learn to express themselves effectively in the classroom so that they can effectively access the curriculum. My students are extraordinary individuals who choose to overcome challenges and adversity every time they come into the classroom. Through close collaboration with my students' team of classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents we promote speech and language growth to help our future leaders of tomorrow succeed in both their personal and academic goals.

My students are hands on learners. Without something physically in their hands to hold, many concepts are abstract and difficult for them to apply to their personal lives. In my experience, when they are provided manipulatives that can be used to build, manipulate, visualize and stimulate their minds. I am requesting tools to specifically assist with letter identification, spelling, writing, sight word recognition, reading, comprehension, math, science and STEAM. The Building Brick STEM Challenge Kit will be a good tool with a visual cause and effect as we learn scientific concepts. Sequencing decks, file folder games, and activity journals will support comprehension/carryover and language development. Alphabet Boards and kits will help with writing, building words, and sight word recognition. The math 10 frame and cube kits will support addition, subtraction and real world word problem understanding. All these tools combined will help our students to better engage, learn and understand as they grow in their time with us. Thank you!
