My Project
I am a kindergarten teacher with a lively group of students. They are super sweet, energetic and absolutely love coming to school. School is an escape for many of my students which makes creating a loving and welcoming environment something I strive to achieve everyday. Our classroom is a community where each child has the opportunity to feel successful, become a leader, and become teachers themselves by sharing their knowledge with each other as they grow.
"Education is the key to unlocking the world, it is the passport to freedom"~ Oprah Winfrey.
I am requesting floor cushions and a circular rug for our classroom community. The children love to have the opportunity to sit outside of a traditional seat which has the added benefit of allowing their wiggles to safely escape. The round rug will be used to help define our classroom space so that expectations for where students are to be are clearly defined and visual for them. Using the carpet as a visual increases student success in following directions and creates a positive classroom environment because they won't require redirection to return to their appropriate centers. Thank you for your consideration and support of my classroom.
