This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are excited to become readers and writers. To help them be successful, they need activities that are motivating, engaging, and creative. Puppets, flannel boards, and flannel board pieces provide open-ended opportunities to develop literacy through collaboration and play.

With your help, my first graders will have the opportunity to develop literacy and social skills by using puppets and flannel pieces to compose and perform stories, poems, and plays.

These items will undoubtedly be the most popular in our class and will lead to amazing readers, writers, and speakers!
