As I begin my 33rd year of teaching, I am so blessed and grateful to be teaching my absolute favorite subject- SCIENCE! I love seeing my students grow into Scientists and develop a love of questioning the why and how.
One of my favorite activities with my fifth graders is designing rockets out of film canisters, water, and Alka-Seltzer.
I love watching my students control the variables of how much water and Alka-Seltzer will create the largest propulsion. They screech with delight as their rockets "blast" into outer space.
