This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is made up of ten students with Autism.
They are unique in their own way.
Each student has their own way of showing their creativity whether it be with play-doh or drawing or building with Legos. They are very curious about new things and are highly inquisitive. They love to ask questions and find out why things are the way they are or how things work. My students love to learn about nature and animals and are a very hands-on type of learner. The projects will benefit these children in all areas.
My Project
The iPad will allow my Autism Spectrum Disorder students to explore and learn through a touch screen and keep them interested in what they are learning. This class is very curious and constantly asking questions and coming up with their own ideas. They love to learn new things and having an iPad, will allow for certain applications to be downloaded, giving my students access to an abundance of new information on topics they love like dinosaurs and sea creatures. The iPad will also assist those students who need extra practice on letter sounds or handwriting or even those students who just want to enrich their learning. The case will keep the iPad protected from everyday accidents that may happen.
