I started the drama club for our Title I school last year. I have had the privilege of working with an awesome group of motivated 3rd to 5th graders.
Several of these students have stepped out of their comfort zones to perform and have done an amazing job.
I have seen quiet and shy students come out of their shell. I have also watched the dedication of my students as they memorize pages and pages of lines. They work hard and have so much fun together.
My Project
I started our school's drama club last year. Our students were so excited to meet weekly and practice for their first big production. While our first production was a success and I was beyond proud of how hard they worked, there was some disappointment over the inability to hear our students during the performance.
Our school does not currently have a wireless microphone system.
We are a Title I school so our funding is limited. We plan on performing the Wizard of Oz in the spring and I would love to have this system in place so that our audience can hear our students.
