The Yearbook Journalism class is full of creative young ladies and gentlemen who seek to make this yearbook better than ever before. They have set their sights high and hope to embed video memories this year.
Every student enrolled in this year's Yearbook Journalism class, as well as many classes to come will be able to utilize this amazing technology and help to give them skills that can be used in and out of the classroom.
Yearbook gives a wide variety of students the opportunity to come together and express ideas. With that they learn to take and give constructive criticism. They also learn to respect the ideas and opinions of others.
My Project
Having a Canon EOS Rebel will take the yearbook production to a brand new level. This particular DSLR will not only take amazing still pictures, but will also allow students to add video clips into our yearbook.
Our yearbook is completely student created and utilizes a wide variety of students from all grades 9-12.
The yearbook journalism class allows students to earn an elective credit and those who choose can make it their elective focus for graduation. In this class students learn photo composition, editing techniques, video angles and so much more.
The students are in charge of themes, photography, caption writing, layout design, marketing, and fundraising. This camera would allow students to raise funds to help decrease book production costs and make it accessible to more students by reducing the costs.
