I'm a first-year teacher, teaching at a Title I school in Florida, where all the students receive free breakfast and lunch every day. Many students walk into my classroom not knowing a word of English, including evacuees from the recent hurricane in Puerto Rico.
My students face many challenges on a daily basis but they do not let their challenges affect their learning!
My students warm my heart and I want to give back to them and be the best teacher they have!
My Project
As a first year teacher, I believe these books that I am requesting will allow me to grow into the teacher I've envisioned throughout my college years. I've heard so much from my co-workers and professors on how these books changed their personal views on their teaching practices.
A few of the books that I am requesting are from the best-known teacher in America, Ron Clark.
This school year, my school is focusing on the essential 55 rules that Mr. Clark created. Reading his book will allow me to gain the knowledge I need to know so that I can correctly implement the rules into my classroom.
