Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Do you remember your first day of school in Kindergarten? Help us get ready with these supplies!
I have 23 beautiful Kindergarten students in my classroom.
75% of them are Hispanic/Latino, and most of them are on free or reduced lunch. My kids are sweet, inquisitive, funny, excited about learning, and filled with a sense of wonderment and curiosity that keeps me on my toes every day! Our school environment is inquiry based, and supportive of the students that need help. Our families are involved, and they do all that they can to help their children succeed. Most of our parents have two or three jobs, yet they still find time to come to field trips, help with homework, and come to parent teacher conferences.
My Project
My students need supplies such as Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs, Rubber Stamps in upper and lower case and three book bins for the beginning of the school year. My students will be able to begin the year right! We are in desperate need of a calendar for daily instruction, pencil boxes to store our new pencils and crayons in, lowercase and uppercase stamps to learn the alphabet, an alphabet center to support alphabet instruction, a pocket chart to post the daily standards we are focusing on, and 3 book bins for our leveled classroom library. Kindergarten is a critical year where the foundation skills for elementary school are acquired. Please help us be ready to learn on the first day of school and get smarter faster!
With these resources we will surely start the year with a bang and help students get ahead of the game early on.
Thank you for supporting my very deserving and sweet little boys and girls!
