My students need a book-making machine to create bully-prevention books. I also need a Bullying in Schools book for ideas on creating a bully-free classroom community.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
"Bully-free is the Way to Be!" That's our motto in my classroom. My students have been working on teamwork building activities, to reduce bullying at school.
My students are first grade learners who are very active.
My active learners come from a rural area and are not exposed to people of different cultures and races. Our focus for the beginning of the school year has been learning about how to be nice to one another.
My Project
I am requesting a copy of Bullying in the Classroom from AKJ books. After incorporating some of these bullying prevention ideas, I plan on having the students create their own bullying books. The books will be written by the students and show ways that they can be nice to others. It will be a guide to show how bullying can hurt others and how to prevent this from happening. "Billy the Bully" will be featured in the student-made books. The students will have hands-on experiences writing and creating their own bullying stories, using the book-binding machine. We will brainstorm our ideas on chart paper and go through the writing process. The students will be delighted to turn their ideas into their own books!
My students need an awareness on bullying and the negative effects that go along with this topic.
This project will encourage my students to be wonderful classroom citizens. We will refer to our book creations throughout the year for ways to deal with the bullying issue.
