  • Let's be Eco-Friendly!

    Funded Mar 19, 2025

Thank you for helping provide my classroom our very first laminator! After the 4th year at this school without one, I can finally stop hunting down other teachers to use their laminators. I am also not a big fan of trying to print materials for 600 students each year…I’m really excited to help the environment and save paper and time. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Yang

  • Replace Broken Bots

    Funded May 24, 2024

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to our classroom through DonorsChoose. Your support has provided us with the materials we needed to create a more engaging, hands-on learning environment for our students.

With your donation, we were able to purchase robots to replace the broken ones, which have already made a significant impact on our students. These robots have helped bring lessons to life, making learning more interactive and exciting. For example, students were having so much fun building lego costumes for the Dash bots and getting Dash to complete challenges and dances. Watching the children's faces light up when they use these materials is a reminder of how much your generosity matters.

Your contribution is not just about the resources you've provided—it's about giving our students the opportunity to explore new ideas, solve problems creatively, and develop essential skills that will help them succeed in the future. Thanks to you, we are one step closer to creating an environment where every student can thrive and feel inspired to reach their full potential.

On behalf of our class, thank you again for your kindness. Your generosity is making a lasting difference in their education.”

  • Playing with Code

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you for providing robots for our students so they can work in smaller groups. Your donation has allow them a more enjoyable and personal experience with robots.

Exploring and earning how to code with robots is what students are the most excited about when they come to Technology. They ask about it before and even after they are done using robots. I enjoy seeing this level of engagement and excitement that pave the way for students to love learning.

We are happy to share photos of us working together with robots. Enjoy!”

  • Books for Programmers!

    Funded Sep 3, 2023

Thank you for making the technology room a reading room as well. It is essential that students know literature with diverse individuals and technology can coexist. I want students to read about people that look like them, and also learn about others who have used coding to change the world.

We use these books when students need to take a break, or if they need another activity to do. They enjoy looking through the colorful pages and learning about kids just like them. Whether fiction or non-fiction - students can read and learn about technology at the same time.

Thank you for this wonderful gift of books!”

  • Learning to Read and Write Through Typing

    Funded Oct 2, 2023

Thank you for supporting our students in furthering their typing skills outside of the technology classroom. Students only spend 3 weeks keyboarding in Technology class once a year. They have iPads with no keyboards and are unable to maintain the skills they have learned once they leave my room.

As a result, there is much excitement that I am able to give their classroom teachers a couple keyboards for students to continue their typing skills outside of my room. They can practice during free time, or do it when they complete their assignments early. This enables them to maintain and build their typing skills all year long.

Thank you again for your support in giving students the opportunity to continue learning they are passionate about.”

  • Programming Robots to Teach Transferrable Life Skills

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you for giving about 400 students access to programming with robots! The best way to learn something new is for it to be concrete. My students have thoroughly enjoy working with robots this year that they don't even know they are accomplishing great learning along the way! Coding with robots is the foundation to building interest and careers in computer science.

Next year we are looking forward to using our creativity to accomplish more with these robots such as completing cross-curricular challenges like literacy and math. We want to program robots to complete challenge courses and dance and draw! Thank you for giving us access to making coding fun and easier to comprehend.”
