  • On Track Due to a Snack V!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much. My students love snacks! The students are highly motivated by food, and I provide them with more choices since they are constantly hungry and don't necessarily have access to healthier food options when not at school. We have been using the snacks as needed and as rewards.

When the students aren't hungry, they can focus on learning. The snacks boosts their energy level for learning and they are more engaged in classroom activities. Having healthy snacks encourages concentration and re-energizes tired students.

Thank You so much for nourishing their minds.”

  • Learning Phonemic Awareness With Ortho Gillingham!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for making this project possible. The Ortho Gillingham resources have made such a difference with my English Language learners. We use these resources daily during phonics instruction and during small group lessons. Our phonemic awareness has improved and I see so much growth during guided reading lessons in their reading, writing and decoding abilities.

Orton Gillingham Decodable Readers and workbooks have improved their reading and writing skills. Through teachers pay teacher, I was able to purchase additional practice work sheets to reinforce sounds and skills learned as well as other hands on activities that the students greatly enjoy using during centers.”

  • Lights Outs, Flashlights On, and Read!

    Funded Jan 5, 2022

Thank You so Much....Flashlight Fridays, reading with the lights outs is such a success! By the end of the week, the students participate in Flashlight Friday. The addition of these mini flashlights, finger flashlights, batteries, and alphabet pop-its allow students to read a book that interests them while sitting anywhere in the room they chose while the lights are off. The change in atmosphere and quiet setting is just the right touch to make reading independently so much fun.

Flashlight Friday is just not for reading, we also use it for other subjects... Students enjoy rewards during phonics and math times as well. The students are thrilled to use their flashlights anytime they can.... Its been a great reward for them as well. They use flashlights to "read", enjoy and relax with their books under their table or anywhere in the classroom with a stuffed toy!”

  • Book Bins and Trays!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

With the new learning models, our classroom looks a lot different now. We now have to keep everything separated by child to ensure that they do not share supplies .

Book bins and trays for each child helps to keep their materials separate and safe while providing an organizing tool within their reach.

The book bins and trays help the students stay safe since they are not sharing materials, keeps them organized as they have a place to store their books, classwork, and individual classroom materials. The resources allow each student to quickly access their own supplies as they need for each lesson daily.”

  • Jiminy Cricket, Lets Create !

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

Thank You so much!!! There are so many Cool and creative ways to use the Cricut Machine in the classroom. Many students love to be creative when completing their assignments and projects. We have created colorful letters and crafts for decorating our classroom for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentines day. We have created earth layers and made matching second grade teacher shirts.

Having a Cricut Machine makes it possible for us to be as creative as we can be. The Cricut Machine is being used to label, create letters, to decorate and organize the classroom.

The Cricut Machine provides endless opportunities for use in the classroom.”

  • Basic Supplies To Start The Year Off Write!

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

Thank You so much for the school supplies. The families, students and I are so grateful for these much needed resources. We started the year off right!!!!

A fresh beginning to the school year with basic school supplies such as folders, expo markers, pencils, laminating pouches, and sticky notes, allowed the students and myself to be prepared to learn every day as we all enter the classroom.

These resources eliminated sharing and helped to keep everyone safe during these unprecedented times..”

  • Magn-ific Letters for Learning !

    Funded Jun 1, 2021

Thank You so much for your support and generosity to our project. You have made it possible for my bilingual students to have their own personal use magnetic letters. We use them daily during phonics lessons and guided reading.

Having their own magnetic alphabet letters provides a safe and fun way for them to build solid foundational skills while working in whole group or individual lessons.

The students use the magnetic letters to build words and while learning about the letters and their letter sounds. During guided reading and phonics lessons, the students manipulate the letters to make sight words, practice phonics skills, and spell simple to more complex words.

    Thank You so much..”

  • Starting A New Bright School Year

    Funded May 3, 2021

Thank You so much for making this project possible. When we are fully back into the classroom, We will have colorful bulletin boards to welcome the students back after being home for more than a year. The bright colorful fade less paper and all about me posters will brighten our classroom and help us get reacquainted with each other.

These materials will provide a welcoming classroom and a sense of comfort that we need. Displaying the posters, all about me activity will allow us to share and learn about each other. As we ease back into school, the incentives will ease the students back into school mode and allow for greater participation, classwork, and interaction within the class.

Thank you for making this possible.”

  • Whiteboards and Markers: Engagement While Learning From Home!

    Funded Mar 3, 2021

Thank you so much for making this project possible. Without your generosity, my students would not have these much needed whiteboards, markers, pencils and earbud headphones. I made individualized zip-lock packets and hand delivered them to each of my students' homes. During this most difficult time of teaching and learning, the whiteboards and markers are so helpful to keep students motivated and engaged during lessons. It is a quick way to assess what they know and it is a fun tool for them to use. The earbuds help students to stay focused from any home distractions during remote instructions.

Thank you so much for your part in funding this project.”

  • Learning and Engaged Safely from Home!

    Funded Jan 20, 2021

Thank You so much for making this project possible. Even though we are not 100% in the classroom yet; The students that I have in both cohorts are grateful to have their own individualized hands on math packets to explore with in the classroom. I was also able to hand deliver the individualized math packets to the students who are attending virtually. We were so excited to see each other and the icing was having these much needed resources to give to them. The students have the opportunity to visualize math both in the classroom and from home.

None of this would be possible without your generosity and selflessness for giving. Thank you so much for helping my students explore, engage, and interact safely with number sense during math.”

They are an energetic, inquisitive, and hard working group of students that have many challenges, but despite that they still come to school excited and ready to learn!
