  • We Can "Kalimba" This Mountain Together!

    Funded Jan 6, 2024

Our STEAM students are excited about the arrival of our Kalimba instrument. It is a great resource for music education in our classroom. The students can hardly contain their enthusiasm when learning about new instruments and they look forward to using our kalimba and other instruments when learning about music.

The students are very energetic when we use our instruments to help with our singing as well as learning about the history and familial connections of instruments to one another. This instrument will greatly benefit our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Williams

  • Space Was the Case That They Gave Me!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

Our students are obsessed when it comes to learning about space, our solar system, and our galaxy. They love the wonder that comes with exploration and adventure. This project allowed us to purchase models to use with our lessons and learning about space. These models will provide us with hands-on details of the engineering prowess of NASA and their spectacular machines that helps us to learn about and explore our galaxy. These models combined with rich lesson activities and informational resources will help foster wonder and excitement for all of our STEAM students.”

  • Big Bricks for Little Hands!

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

This project has been a fabulous addition to our classroom. Every student who passes through our door is excited about having this resource as a creative outlet. Our students have a blast working with each other on the Lego walls. We've had students design marble mazes and Rube Goldberg machines that show off their design skills. Our young students create designs to show off, like animals or robots, and our oldest students use them for various engineering challenges. Thank you for supporting our STEAM class.”

  • These Students Are Electrifying!

    Funded Feb 4, 2022

Thank you SO much! This will have an impact on every student in our building! They will get to see and learn of the power of electricity and it’s importance in this world. They will get a hands on learning experience that will build and grow over the years (1st-3rd) they spend in my STEAM class.”

  • These Kids Are SHARP!

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

This project has been a great help to our classroom. We struggled for a long time with incorrectly sharpened pencils, which may not sound like a big deal, but robbed us of critical learning time.

These new sharpeners are excellent! They sharpen quickly and correctly. No more constant grinding or broken leads. These sharpeners stop when the pencil is sharpened and leave a point that lasts. Students can get the job finished and get back to work. They are built like tanks and I believe that they will last us many years to come.

We can't thank you enough for helping us with our first project. We use these on a daily basis and they will sharpen thousands of pencils that we will use to write, draw, sketch and shade.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Williams

Our class uses pencils on a daily basis. I spend a lot of time helping to sharpen pencils because the one sharpener we do have does not function properly. Sharp kids need sharp pencils! With several sharpeners stationed in different areas of the classroom, students will spend less time waiting for their pencils to be sharpened. We will go through less pencils as well because a new sharpener will actually sharpen pencils rather than eat them. These are quality pencil sharpeners that will last us several years over the electric ones that do not hold up to the rigor of elementary pencil sharpening.
