Special People Need Special Supplies!
Funded Nov 13, 2024You may not think your contribution did much, but let me tell you, you are wrong. The entire class was excited and delighted to use their new resources. For my group of students, distractions are far too common and hard to ignore. Your gifts have helped them learn better and build their stretch of learning time to be longer. They also have ways to help their fine motor skills using the tools you provided, a skill they significantly lack in since 2020. These are all crucial to their ability to excel at anything they want to do in life. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your kindness.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Young Sheldon and 5 other donors.Softball Stars Need Equipment!
Funded Feb 23, 2024Thank you so much! We really appreciate this. You impacted our season in a major way. You gave us the catcher's equipment that got used, a TON! Our new catcher used it at every single game, and every single practice. The balls were a big help and allowed the team to pair up and do catching drills while working on their throws. They were a major part of our season. Your donation helped us train and make it to the first round of the playoffs. They were ecstatic when they used the nets, it made training better. We look forward to next year's season where we will reuse all the equipment and improve our game. Thank you for your support!”

We Need Pens and Markers!
Funded Dec 18, 2016I cannot begin to explain how your donation impacts my classroom. A marker may seem like such a small item that isn't significant - but to a student in the 6th grade, it's everything! We often play pop-up math (where students write their response on dry-erase boards, then hold them up) and practice whatever concept was introduced that week. Students love to play this and do it with an expo marker. As you know, a marker's life doesn't last forever! When used by 5 different students in one day and then multiple times a week.... it gets worn down. Your donation made it possible for my students to have brand new markers in the middle of the year when they need it the most! As you can see in the pictures, students are happy to know that someone outside of their school is thinking of them and helping them be successful. In other photos, you can see how serious they are when it comes to math. You helped both myself (in constructing engaging lessons) and my students really enjoyed learning math this year. With all the love in my heart, THANK YOU!”

Pop Up Math!
Funded Dec 22, 2015Thank you so much for your generosity! With your help, students have really had an amazing time in class using the dry erase boards! They love to get instant feedback by writing their answer and having me tell them if they are right. We play games using the boards and we will use them for round tables. RT's are performance based assessments where students make presentations and end with a live math problem of their topic. We will be sung the boards to demonstrate math mastery! We really can't thank you enough. When the kids saw the boards for the first time, they were thrilled! We hope to start a new project that gives us technology every day! We all look forward to our next activity that requires the boards and have a blast every time! Thank you!!”

Help! We Need Notebooks for Math Class!!!
Funded Dec 11, 2015Dear Donors,
My students use the notebooks, thanks to your donation, every single day. They often write notes and keep their reference points for class in their notebooks and next year they will take their notebooks with them in order to use them in the next grade. We use our notebooks every time we learn something new or when we review old material. We start class by writing the objective in those notebooks. Since it's the end of the year now the kids really enjoy looking at their notebooks and seeing their work that they have recorded all year long.
When the students saw the notebooks for the first time, we were extremely grateful. Lots of smiles throughout the entire sixth-grade spread throughout our school. What's better is how much good use they've gotten out of one simple, but very important tool. Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts.”

Young Mathematicians Need Rulers & Other Supplies!
Funded Jul 9, 2015My students are so grateful for all their wonderful donors and they couldn't be happier in their classes. Both my seventh and sixth graders appreciate your generosity. You'll see in the pictures that our sixth graders are getting ready for our January roundtables and our seventh graders performed a water experiment where they simulated a leaky faucet in order to analyze the information. They wrote a letter to their mayor with their findings and estimated city costs. You are a big piece as to how my students are able to complete projects like that and be able to perform their best at roundtables. I can not thank you enough for your support in my classrooms. You are amazing!”

Help! Simple Supplies: We Need Them!
Funded Mar 4, 2014My kids were thrilled! They loved your donation and received it with arms wide open! They said they loved the colors and couldn't get enough of the highlighters while doing ELA work! We used it for so many different things! We finally had sharpened pencils!!!!!!! We had a better year because of your donation! We finally had clear writing on the board and we benefited from it so much!
Your donation boosted my teaching by saving time in the classroom. Your supplies gave us speedy lessons and resources to give practice to my students. Thank you for your generosity! We are deeply moved.”

Closing the Gap Electronically
Funded Mar 4, 2014Thank you so much for your generosity! You truly impacted this classroom in a way that I can barely put into words. My students were so happy and could not believe someone would have such faith in them. We use your gift everyday! Sometimes a small group of students benefit from the technology but most times the entire class uses it through the apple device connected to our projector!
We are using it to connect our electronic text book and project it so that students can see it in larger view. We use it to reinforce lessons everyday and we are so happy! This project helped them understand modern technology that they would otherwise not have access to and it is all because of you! THANK YOU!”

Writing for a Better Future
Funded Jan 29, 2014Thank you once again for your gracious donations! My students were thrilled to have the writing center. They loved all of the supplies and felt truly special that someone cared enough to give them this gift. Their writing skills flourished and most students are now writing on grade level. We used the organizer to keep all paragraphs and essays in a safe place. It really helped them develop a sense of organization. Having pens and highlights helped them edit in style. The colors helped them stay focused on what they were changing as they wrote their drafts. It helped boost their moral and really helped them work beyond the daily issue of finding a pen to write with! And yes, it is truly an issue that you have now resolved. I can't thank you enough! Bless you!”
