  • Communicating at Its Best With a Cricut, no Less!

    Funded Feb 8, 2025

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. We were delighted to receive our materials and resources. We didn't waste any time putting these materials to great use. I believe these resources motivated my scholars even more.

We have used our construction paper to display our artwork during our unit on African Studies and during our STEAM projects. Scholars were able to use construction paper to make collages and artwork to showcase their learning.

The Clorox wipes have been a tremendous help and blessing. We are able to make sure we leave our classroom clean and ready to work the next day. I have many scholars that have taken over the role of keeping our classroom clean and they love that the wipes are so easy to use and accessible. It fosters independence within our classroom.

Lastly, we have used the letters and the cricut machine to showcase our artwork and writing in Social Studies, Science, and Math. It really brings a more creative and interesting way for my scholars to showcase their learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith

  • New Year, New Tools for Success!

    Funded Sep 8, 2024

My scholars were so elated when they received their new tools. The buzz and excitement in the classroom was electric.

We are using our new resources to help us learn and grow as readers. The index cards have really helped with alphabet recognition, sight word recognition, and rhyming words. Scholars write the letters, words, and rhyming words on index cards that they need additional practice with. They practice the words on the index cards just like flash cards - at home and at school.

The Lakeshore name tags were very helpful, too. Scholars are learning the names of their peers. These name tags help students play name games and sort themselves according to similarities and differences. Each scholar also wears a word of the week in their name tag to help with sight word recognition and fluency.

The primary notebooks already contain evidence of their writing growth. Some scholars have already begun to show improvement in writing their names and letters. They practice writing each day in their notebooks. The effort, dedication, and hard work that my scholars have shown when writing in their notebooks is phenomenal.

Thanks for your support and kindness. Your generosity has helped my scholars get off to an amazing start this year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith

  • Keeping It Clean in the Classroom!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to get this project across the finish line. These resources have made a huge impact in keeping our classroom clean, happy, and healthy.

We have used the hand sanitizer to help keep germs away and surfaces clean. As the weather is changing, scholars are coughing a little more and sneezing a little more. The hand sanitizer really helps to keep the germs at bay.

We have also used the freezer storage. Now scholars have a safe and easy place to keep their alphabet cards and sight words cards handy. Scholars are able to transport their words from school to home in these ziploc freezer bags. Scholars are finding it much easier to locate the cards they need for learning with them being accessible and right at their finger tips.

Lastly, the Kleenex could not have arrived at a better time. With the seasonal shift, more scholars are in need of tissues to help stop runny nose and cover coughs. Having a few boxes of Kleenex around the classroom makes it easier for my scholars to be independent and meet their needs accordingly.

We extend our sincere appreciation for your support and kindness.”

  • Ready For First Grade & Ready For The Beach!

    Funded May 19, 2024

My scholars were so excited when the materials from our project started rolling into the classroom. They all cheered when they saw the bubbles, beach towels, and the sand buckets.

Each scholar received a special gift at the end of our Kindergarten school year. They immediately started having conversations about scheduling play dates with friends during the Summer months. They had conversations about what they were going to make with their sand buckets and shovels. It was so amazing to hear them engage in dialogue about future plans to meet up, spend relaxation time with family, and fun time coloring in their coloring books.

They were super grateful, abundantly excited, and filled with joy to receive these resources. I am confident that after an amazing Summer with all of the materials they received from this project, they are going to be ready to tackle the upcoming school year. Thanks so much for sprinkling kindness and joy in our Kindergarten class.”

  • Keep The Germs Away So That We Can Play!

    Funded May 15, 2024

Thanks so much for getting our project across the finish line. My scholars were so excited when our materials arrived. These materials really helped us end the school year healthy and safe.

Those last few weeks of school was very warm and humid. It really helped my scholars stay hydrated and focused on learning (and fun) having water bottles on hand for them to drink.

In addition, we often used the Purell and Lysol wipes to keep our classroom clean, keep germs away, and end our school year healthy.

We are so grateful for your kindness and support. We are so fortunate to have amazing donors like you that believe in supporting classrooms and schools. Thanks for helping us get the things we need to succeed in school.”

  • Let’s Decode, Draw, and Differentiate!

    Funded Jan 22, 2024

Thank you so much for fully funding this project. These resources have been so helpful. Last month we created posters for Black History Month. My students used the manila drawing paper and sentence strips to label and draw pictures and posters depicting their favorite African American People in History.

My scholars have been using the decodable books to practice their phonemic awareness, comprehension, and phonics skills. Their confidence has been boosted because they are able to use their decoding strategies to read their books. When they meet with their reading partners, they feel confident and joy because they can actually read the words that are in the books.

Thanks so much for helping me get the resources they needed to present, practice, and persevere. They are more confident learners that are on their way to first grade readiness.”

  • Fuel the Body, Feed the Brain!

    Funded Jan 19, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to this project. These snacks have been such a huge success for my classroom community.

My scholars are no longer feeling fatigued or famished in the afternoon. These snacks have been such a huge blessing in getting them that extra boost of energy that they need to make it to the end of the day. They are able to focus more on the lessons being taught.

Furthermore, I'm noticing my students are drinking more water. How great is that? Now that we have a case of water within arm's reach, my scholars are requesting to drink water throughout the day.

Thanks again for your support. Thanks for helping me meet the needs of my students so they can be successful in school.”

  • Scholars Looking Scholarly At School And In The Community!

    Funded Dec 26, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us get this project funded. We are truly grateful. Now, because of this project, every student in my class now has a school uniform to wear. Our classroom looks like one unit, one family, one community. We have you to thank for that.

The parents of my Kindergarten kiddos are equally thankful and excited. They feel the excitement, community, and togetherness that is exhibited by their scholar.

When we move about our school building and within our school community, my Kindergarten kiddos show pride, confidence, and community. It's such an awesome sight to see.

We are so grateful for these uniforms and under garments. Thank you for your support, kindness, and dedication to helping students succeed.”

  • Take A Look - In A Book Reading Big Books!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

These big books are absolutely amazing. They are so engaging and easy to access for my kiddos. They were so excited as I took them out of the box.

These big books have been added to our class library. During reading time, small groups of students gather together to read them and engage in meaningful conversations.

During my modeling, I use these big books as mentor text to teach various decoding skills. It helps build comprehension and engagement when we use a particular big book, like I Like To Hop, to teach multiple skills and strategies.

By far, the most rewarding feeling was when students were able to read the big books during our Kindergarten Open House to all the adults that were present. These books have made such a huge difference in our reading and literacy instruction. Thanks so much for making it possible!”

    Ms. Smith
