Kindergarten Class Seeks Listening Center and Library
Funded Jan 25, 2012Thank you all for your generous donation. Thanks to you, my classroom has the listening center and library that I've always dreamed of. As a teacher we often spend our own money on buying classroom supplies and necessities. Â Now we don't have to, thanks to Donors Choose and all the wonderful people, companies, and organizations that help donate to our cause!
All of my current and future students will be able to listen to favorite stories, new and old, read and re-read to them with this wonderful device! Students will experience and listen to fluent reading in order to help them become fluent readers themselves.
Thanks a million!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Preciado

Funded Sep 20, 2013I can't express how grateful I am to all who donated to our class project. A million thanks to every single one of you! Because of you, each of my students will now have their own storage sack in which to quickly store and have access to their frequently-used supplies. The storage sacks will help us in keeping our materials organized, and as you may know, organization is key.
The storage sacks are quite durable, and so your donation to this project will not only benefit my class now, but will also continue to benefit many more students to come. My students and I cannot wait to get the storage sacks in and put them to good use!”

A Rug That's Not So Snug!
Funded Sep 13, 2012Thank you so much for your generosity! For the past few months, our class has enjoyed the new rug. How excited we all were when they first rolled it in! It has made our classroom look brighter and somehow more spacious as well.
In addition to helping our classroom look more aesthetically pleasing, our new rug has also facilitated classroom management. There is space and order thanks to the new rug. It has given each student a sense of belonging, with each individual student being assigned a square. Now everyone knows where their spot is, and there are no arguments over who sat where first, or about someone else being in their space. I can also call on students to and from the rug in an orderly fashion using the colors of the rug.
Though a rug may not seem like an important classroom item, it has made a huge positive difference in our classroom. Not only has it benefited our classroom this school year, but it will continue to benefit future Kindergarten students for many years to come.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Preciado
