My public middle school students come from an economically, racially diverse area in North Carolina. My classroom provides refuge for the creatives, poets, dreamers and misfits. My program serves approximately three hundred students a year including a high percentage of at risk populations (EC, free and reduced lunch, ESL, BIP and IEP). I love them all so very much, and I want the best for them. Or, at least, the best I can give.
