On behalf of my current students, my future students, and myself, thank you very much for your donation! I wish I could have taken a picture of the moment the television arrived so you could see the joy it brought them! Because of your generosity, my students have an additional reason to love coming to school!

My students are learning in a new way! They are exercising in class using videos. They have viewed stage performances and concerts. They can see examples of land forms, animals, people, and much more I am teaching. Small groups work independently as they follow along with read alouds read to them on the screen. I even showed them parts of President Obama's inauguration! They are enjoying experiences they might not otherwise have.

In addition to academic reasons, my students are also having more fun thanks to their new television! They look forward to a rainy day so they can watch a movie when they can't play outside. During the Winter holidays and Valentine's Day, we celebrated with a DVD about these occasions. During their daily Breakfast in the Classroom, I have added clips of current events, sing alongs, and movies to support our current unit's theme.

Your donation is supporting student learning in the areas of Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Health, and The Arts. It has provided a visual to make academic standards more accessible to my students. It has allowed me to use material I have purchased throughout the years to support student learning. At a time when our school's budget is very limited, you have provided material we could not have otherwise purchased. Thank you!”
