  • Snacks to Energize Our Working Minds

    Funded Apr 13, 2023

Thank you very much for helping my project come to live! My students were very grateful and excited! My upper grade level students were so happy that they were getting these snacks available during their STAAR Testing.

I arranged the snacks in bins for the students to be able to see their options. They could not believe that generous people donated to have snacks available during our small groups. I thank you, the smile in their faces when they saw the variety of snacks in our classroom brought me happiness. We thank you for thinking of us and donating to our project.

Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sandoval

  • Essentials Needed for a Great Learning Environment

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

When my students saw the materials they were shocked and filled with joy. They were very grateful that someone would donate to have our project funded. With the markers and the easel pad we have created anchor charts for the classroom. The white paper is being used to scan and print the anchor charts we created into smaller versions that fit in their notebooks. We have used the binders to keep track of our assignments and our growth. The tissues are very handy this allergy season. They cannot wait to use the other materials. Thank you again for your wonderful donations.”

  • Learning Lessons by Reading Books to Connect With Our Lives

    Funded Dec 30, 2022

My students were beyond happy for the new books in our classroom library. They were so eager to read them and see what type of lesson we were going to do with them.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart, we thank you for the donations that brought our project to life.

One of the books we got to was of poems, we are learning about the different poems and their structure. We even created some of our own poems.

The book marks they got as incentives for participating during the lessons.

With my different pull out groups we read differently, sometimes I read, other times they read to me. We take our time with each page of the book to understand what the author was trying to inform us about. They sometimes read with a buddy and sometimes we pop corn read.

All the students were excited for the new books, they were glad to see our library expanding and being about to use different books for different lessons. They even ask to borrow the book to read during recess or restroom break.

Thank you again for the donations.”

  • Creative Expressing Through Painting

    Funded Oct 5, 2022

Thank you for the generous donations made for the project. The students were excited to see the new materials set up in the classroom. They were very excited when they saw the new additions to our art center. We are not only using the materials but learning about the materials individually. For example the apron, we made connections on where we have seen people use an apron and what the use of an apron is. I cannot wait to be able to share this with other students as well.

Thank you again for the donations made to make our project come to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sandoval

  • Teachers Help Teachers With Helping Students

    Funded Jun 10, 2022

Thank you again for the donations to my project. I have been able to purchase great resources from other teachers and have been able to focus on the goal of helping my students master the objective of the assignments. They have enjoyed the amazing resources I have found for math and reading to be able to guide them in their education. The students have enjoyed learning and practicing using the amazing work sheets other teachers have created. It has been a relief being able to find resources to help us master our daily objectives.

Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts and from all my students.

We are very grateful for your donations to our project.

    Thank you.”

  • Snacks and Affirmations for the Body and Mind

    Funded May 5, 2022

The resources provided to our classroom are keeping our students happy and motivated. The moment the students saw the items we received in the classroom they were very excited to start their incentive points again. The items helped keep them motivated to try and use the strategies they had learned. They were so excited of the options they had to pick from, they couldn't wait to accumulate more points. Thank you again for the donations, I would love to continue the project throughout the summer and for next school year.

Thank you again, we are very grateful.”

  • Reading to Connect With the English Language

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Thank you again for your donations.

My students love the English Version, My Name is Maria Isabel. We also have the Spanish Version and have been making connections with the Language and choice of words. We have done connections to our lives and other books. We made inferences about what the book was going to be about and what might happened in the next chapter. We have all taken turns to read sentences in the book.

In my classroom we have 15 minutes of independent reading and we do read aloud for our lessons. We read the story to make connections and do our skill of the day.

My ESL students love that we can look at the Spanish Version if we are having difficulty comprehending what the English Version is telling us.

My Spanish students like that we are able to see the English Version to look at the vocabulary and what words have the meaning the same meaning.”

  • Reading Nook

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Thank you so much for the bilingual books. My students faces lit up when they saw the boxes arrived. We opened the boxes together and they were very excited to be receiving English and Spanish in one books. We made connections with the English and Spanish words. We did the plot line organizer for one of the stories. We learned about being different and bullying. We have done both social and emotional learning with academic learning. I give my students at least 15 minutes everyday to read a book, reading is a big part to help students learn new words and things. My Spanish class enjoys reading the Spanish section of the book and then trying to retell the story in their own words in English. My ESL class loves that they can look at the Spanish section when they are having trouble comprehending a word or sentence.

Thank you again for the donations.”

  • Reading to Connect

    Funded Aug 22, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations. My students were very excited to have received a book each to be able to follow along. They are participating and making connections already.

We have been able to pop-corn read, when a student picks another to continue were they left off. We have been able to read aloud and then re-read in silence thanks to having our own copies. This has started to help students with fluency because they have heard it been read aloud and remember how to pronounce words.

We have also looked up vocabulary words we are not familiar with and use context clue to figure the meaning of the words.

We have been able to make inferences based on the the pictures and title. We have started making connections and predictions.

These books mean the world to us.

Again, we are very grateful for your donations.”

  • Squeaky Clean Learning Environment

    Funded Feb 23, 2021

With the resources my students have been able to complete and print one of their many projects. We have used the ink to print out our writing and visual boards about goals. We have used the masks to keep us protected. We have been able to clean our desk before eating breakfast, lunch and cleaning our devices after our daily use. These are some of the ways we have use the materials that were donated to us.

When the front office called and ask to send students to pick us the packages, they looked at me a bit confused. I sent my students to pick up and as we opened them they were in surprised. After I told them these items were donated to our class they were extremely happy. They were very grateful that someone would donate for their education and safety.

This month we are learning about giving back, we used the donations that we received as an example. Many of my students said they would love to give back. We have started our own project of helping out the lower grade levels in our campus.

Thank you once again for the donation.”

These materials will be used to keep the students' desks, laptops, and other materials sanitized for students' daily use. Students sit in that area every day and have to keep it clean, especially since they eat breakfast and lunch in that area. I want to be able to keep their areas clean and these materials will provide the assurance of keeping our items clean. The other materials are to be able to create visuals for students in person and during virtual learning. Using the printer ink to print students' work to display. It will also help with printing images to help with vocabulary. The markers and sticky pads will help me create anchor chart to support my students learning.
