Building Success With Classroom Basics
Funded Feb 27, 2025When our classroom basics arrived, my students lit up with excitement! They couldn't wait to dive into the new supplies, especially the fresh crayons, stickers, and colorful pens. We kicked off our first writing activity using the new notebooks, and it was so fun watching them take pride in their work. The electric pencil sharpener quickly became a favorite (and a lifesaver for me!), and the laminated anchor charts we created with the new laminator are already being used daily during our reading and math lessons.
These resources have made our classroom feel more organized, colorful, and creative. Right now, we're working on a writing unit where students are creating their own mini-books. Thanks to your generosity, they have the tools they need to bring their stories to life: from crayons for illustrations to glue sticks and flair pens for their final drafts. Your donation has truly made a difference in our day-to-day learning. Thank you for giving my students a classroom full of tools to support their growth and confidence!”

Funded Oct 6, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our project and bringing a wonderful collection of new books to my classroom! Your generosity has made a huge difference in my second graders' reading experience. These engaging texts are helping my students develop key literacy skills, such as comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency in both English and Spanish. With each book, we are building confidence and fostering a lifelong love for reading. Reading in our classroom is now an exciting time filled with anticipation as students eagerly select a book that speaks to them, whether it's a favorite series like Amelia Bedelia or a new adventure with Clifford.
One student, in particular, has been thriving with these new additions. Previously hesitant to pick up a book, she now gravitates to the Little Critter series, laughing at the character's silly antics and reading aloud to her classmates with growing enthusiasm. Other students are exploring nonfiction texts and strengthening their phonics skills through our new sets, showing more engagement and asking questions about what they read. It's amazing to see how these books have turned our classroom into a community of readers. This project has truly enriched their learning, and we are so grateful for your support!”

Funded Sep 23, 2024Thank you so much for your incredible support of our project, "Support Our Class with Essential Classroom Items!" The impact on my second-grade dual language students has been truly amazing. With the new scissors, glue sticks, notebooks, pencils, and other supplies, my students now have the tools they need to stay organized, engage fully in lessons, and work on hands-on projects without worrying about lacking materials. These essentials have made a huge difference in our day-to-day learning experience.
When the supplies arrived, my students were beyond excited! Their faces lit up as they saw the materials laid out on their desks, and they couldn't wait to start using them. One of our first projects involved creating interactive notebooks, where students used scissors, glue, and pencils to build a visual journal of their math and science lessons in both English and Spanish. Watching them eagerly cut, glue, and take pride in their work was a heartwarming moment I'll never forget.
Moving forward, these materials will continue to support our bilingual learning. Next, we'll use the dry erase markers and sticky notes for interactive reading lessons, where students write down key vocabulary words in both languages and share them with their classmates. This project has set us up for success, and I can't thank you enough for your generosity. My students and I are so grateful for your support!”
