  • ASD Students' School Supplies

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

I would like to thank you for your contributions to my classroom. We have been very fortunate to have supplies that will last through this school year and a part of the next school year.

Our students' families have not had to purchase any school supplies during these difficult times. We have kept the classroom uniform: every student has the same supplies. In addition, we have been able to keep the classrooms clean and corona-free. We have used Lysol and Clorox wipes religiously and it has all been thanks to you.

I am very grateful for all you did for my students and the selfless acts of kindness you showed our classroom. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Eduardo

  • Distance Learning- Home/ School Connection

    Funded Dec 17, 2020

Thank you for your contributions. The students enjoy receiving care packages so much! They are very happy when they receive print outs of activities, books, stickers, resources and even certificates! With the things I print out, I create bookmarks and laminate other color resources!

The shipping materials have been super handy! So far I have sent the students about 8 care packages! They get so excited to receive mail and to use the materials I send. It is also so important for them to have access to physical books they can touch and turn pages .... I am so thankful to you and what you did for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Eduardo

  • Bring Some Color to a First Grade Classroom

    Funded Aug 11, 2019

Classrooms require a lot of technology. Most classrooms do not function without computers, internet and a smart board. One way we enhanced the productivity of all these materials was by asking you for help with purchasing a printer. The printer we requested was a color high capacity printer that can print many pages at a rapid pace (copy room blues are over) and it is also a printer that can connect to the wifi network at school, reducing the wires and allowing for wireless printing.

The students in my class are very delighted with the visuals they now have in class. Being able to print on demand, everything from homework to classwork to visuals has been very liberating for my classroom team because we would have to ask administration for assistance with things that we can now do ourselves. We are able to print supports as needed as soon as possible and have reduced the demands on administration by having our own means to print.

Most of the students in my class benefit from reminders, and with these visuals that are in color, we are able to provide these supports seamlessly. Sometimes we have to refer to our voice level chart when students use their outdoor voices inside. Sometimes they even have peers who remind them which voice level to use or not to use using the visual posted in the classroom

Having these visuals have helped our classroom community become more united and cohesive. We are very grateful for the support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Eduardo

The materials I am requesting will help the students who have difficulty sitting for small and large group activities. The ability to stimulate their sensory needs can promote better focus, attention and concentration on the tasks they will be working on. They can also help if they are feeling anxious, which can be common in Kindergarten. The playdough being requested can be used for a variety of things: it can help them calm down if they are upset, it can ease the kinesthetic learner's need to use their hands and it can be used to strengthen the hands and fingers of our future writers.
