Materials selected for our project will help strengthen phonetic awareness, build reading skills, increase basic math functions and encourage sentence building. For example, the Reading Skills Folder Game Libraries will provide a fun learning experience. Learning letter sounds and beginning to read three-letter-word sentences while playing a game is a great way to mix learning with fun. Due to the pandemic, basic kindergarten skills may have been lost because of online learning. Every student is deserving of an education that will give them the skills necessary to grow. First grade is the building block to that foundation.
