Flexible seating in early education classrooms allows students to grant their little bodies the ability to move around, while engaging their minds on the task or lesson before them. Flexible seating gives students the power to choose, giving them autonomy on how they want to release that sensory stimulation that is part of their development. By allowing students to engage in sensory stimulation through flexible seating, they will be able to better engage in the classroom learning experience. I believe that flexible seating is a great way for students to get those wiggles out in a healthy, positive, and classroom appropriate way. I am requesting floor cushions, lapdesks, wobble chairs, and ball chairs.
