Right now, ninety percent of our students are in person, cohorting and working hard to learn new safety and social distancing procedures. One thing that is difficult for teachers is keeping our materials, especially handouts, clean and sanitary in between uses. With students doing their part by strictly staying in their cohorts, I need to do mine by making sure the materials I give them have been properly cleaned. A laminating machine will allow me to use the same materials more than once, while still keeping up with safety guidelines. I can laminate handouts, flashcards, and sentence strips, enabling all of my students equal access to the materials they need.
