• Bridging Cultures: Printing Materials to Support Refugee Students in ELD

  Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation. Your support has made a significant impact on our classroom, and I'd like to share how the resources you provided are enhancing our students' learning experience.

  The HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP 3301fdw printer has been a game-changer for us. Not only does it print high-quality materials, but it also offers scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities, allowing us to streamline classroom activities. Teachers and students alike are thrilled by the ability to print assignments, projects, and resources in color, making learning more visually engaging and interactive. It's already been an essential tool for creating custom worksheets, projects, and presentations that bring lessons to life.

  The Amazon Basics copy paper you donated is helping us provide ample printed materials, from lesson handouts to student portfolios, while also promoting sustainability with its recycled content. It's a simple but valuable resource that's been in high demand, ensuring that every student has access to physical learning materials they can keep and refer to at home.

  Finally, the Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches have been a hit! These durable sheets are allowing us to protect and preserve important learning tools, such as flashcards, charts, and classroom resources, that will be used for years to come. • Empower & Support: Menstrual Products for High School Students

  I am incredibly grateful for your generous contribution to fund menstrual products and snacks for my students. Your support has made an immediate and lasting impact in our classroom. Since receiving the items, my students have been able to focus more on their learning, without the distractions or discomfort that come with not having access to these basic necessities. The snacks have kept them energized throughout the day, and the menstrual products have allowed my female students to participate in activities without worrying about their well-being. It's been amazing to see the positive changes in their focus and confidence!

  One specific moment that stands out was during our last group project, where students were working on a collaborative art piece. Several students mentioned how much more comfortable they felt because they had the supplies they needed. The girls were especially relieved to have access to menstrual products, and it created a more open and supportive atmosphere in the classroom. It was inspiring to see how something so simple could have such a big impact on their ability to engage and express themselves freely.

• Polished and Pristine: Keeping Our Classroom Safe and Clean

  We want to extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible donors who funded my classroom project on DonorsChoose. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to purchase much-needed cleaning supplies, organizational tools, and other materials to ensure a healthier and more efficient learning environment for my ELD high school students. The Label Maker, thermal laminator, and storage bins are already helping us keep materials organized and accessible. These tools allow us to maintain a tidy and functional classroom, which directly supports our goal of creating a space where students can focus on their studies without distraction. Your support also ensures that we can keep the classroom clean and sanitized, promoting the health and well-being of everyone in the room.

• Fueling Success: Snacks for Student Engagement

  Thanks to the generous donations from supporters on DonorsChoose, my English Language Development (ELD) students now have access to snacks that help fuel their learning and keep them engaged throughout the school day. These snacks have made a significant impact, especially during long afternoons when students are working hard to improve their language skills. One moment that stands out was when the students first saw the snacks—there were excited smiles and expressions of gratitude all around. Many of my students come from low-income backgrounds, and having access to these snacks allows them to stay focused and energized, which directly impacts their participation and enthusiasm in class.

  With the snacks in place, my students are now better able to focus on their English language lessons and classroom projects. In particular, we're diving into a writing project that involves creating personal narratives, where students reflect on their own journeys and experiences. The next step in this project is to begin drafting and peer reviewing each other's work. Thanks to your support, my students are not only nourished but also empowered to engage more fully in their learning. I'm excited to see their continued growth as they develop their writing skills and gain confidence in their ability to communicate in English.
