  • Kindergarteners Ready to Plan Write Publish

    Funded Jan 18, 2020

    Thank you for generous donation. My students were able to use the folders during writing time. The folders are trifold. The folders include vocabulary picture words, sight words, and working progression chart. At the end of the year, the students were able to bring folders home and proudly show them off. The rolling organizer was used for paper choices. I labeled with 1 line, 2, lines, 3 lines, and so on. Because the organizer is in wherls and sturdy, we were able to move it around the room for small group instruction. The quality of these products was great.

  • Reading to Succeed!

    Your donation was able to help 26 students. We are all so grateful for your generous donations. Children enjoyed touching, reading, and talking about these new books. These books were so crucial for us because we didn't have books on students' reading levels. Now, students can bring these books home and practice reading. Since the time that we got the books, majority of the students have made a great progress and have moved up a few reading levels. Their goal is to read on levels H/I/J and so far we 11 students who have reached these levels. Once again thank you for your kind act. It meant a lot to me as a teacher in Title 1 school and my students.”

  • Three Cheers for Literacy Center Activities!!!

    You have done an amazing thing for kindergrtners of Queens. My students absolutely love and enjoy the books that you purchased for us. On daily basis they ask me to read the books at center time. Recently they began taking the books home and reading their to their families. You made it possible for students of this new school to have wonderful books to practice their beginning reading skills.

My students come from various backgrounds and most from low-income homes. My students enjoy coming to school because it is very welcoming and warm environment for them. My students are learning to become future leaders by following 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. They might not get the proper upbringing from home but they sure do get it at school. This year my class is very well behaved but unfortunately they are not performing on expected grade level. I'm hoping that Donors Choose can help me with acquiring some resources which would make a big difference in their education.
