Stimulating Science for all Students
Funded Jun 14, 2010The materials funded by this project has brought excitement and hands-on learning to science. We have started with the human body this year, and the students have been able to use the smart board activities to manipulate the systems in the body. We also have studied plants and animals. They are actively engaged because of the technology and high interest lessons the smart board lessons provide.
The bingo games have been an added bonus. Animal and Plant Bingo have been a blast, making learning exciting and engaging along the way. I love nothing more than to watch my students as they say, "I get it!" while playing a game or participating in an active lesson. Thank you for helping make this possible.”

Engaged with Expos
Funded May 4, 2010Thank you so much for choosing "Engaged with Expos" as a project to help fund! I use whiteboards and Expos with my students several times throughout the day to keep the students involved while learning. Because each student is able to have this resource on their desk, they feel like they are and active part of the lesson. Often times students may be able to provide their own supplies, but in our school, it is often difficult for families to find the means for food, let alone items for school. These students know that there are people that care about them, and their education, because of your giving! ”

Making Moments with Recess Equipment
Funded Jun 5, 2010I just spent recess with my students and was able to enjoy the smiles on their faces while they played with our new recess equipment! Thank you so much for giving to our classroom and by helping provide a means for them to express themselves through this positive outlet. Each day they return to class after recess, energized and ready to learn. My students have also learned how exciting it can be to share this special gift. They invite children from other classes to jump with them, play a game of football, or bounce the ball in a round of four-square. So many students, as well as myself, have felt the benefits of this gift and we are all thankful! ”
