  • Fresh Books for Growing Minds

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

    Here's a thank-you message for general donors:

    Dear Generous Donors,

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom's DonorsChoose project. Because of your kindness, my students now have access to new, exciting books that are not only freshly released but also deeply relatable to their lives and experiences.

These books are already sparking joy and inspiring meaningful discussions in our classroom. It's incredible to see my students light up as they connect with the characters and stories that reflect both their own identities and the diverse world around them.

Your generosity has helped create a classroom library that fosters curiosity, empathy, and a true love of reading. Thank you for believing in the power of books to make a difference in young lives. My students and I are so grateful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. M.

  • Celebrating Differences With Books

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our DonorsChoose project. Because of your support, my students now have access to a wide range of diverse books that reflect the world around them and allow them to see themselves—and others—in the stories they read.

Representation in literature is so important, and these books are already sparking meaningful conversations about identity, empathy, and inclusion. Seeing my students excited to read and connect with these stories has been incredible, and it wouldn't have been possible without your kindness.

Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our learning community, and we are deeply grateful. Thank you for helping us build a more inclusive and inspiring school library!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. M.

  • Stem and Science Inspiration

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous gift of hands-on STEAM kits for our classroom! The excitement and enthusiasm these kits have already sparked in my primary students are simply unmatched.

One of their favorite activities has been the "Earthquake" station, where they get to design and build structures and then test their creations against simulated quakes. The joy on their faces as they experiment, problem-solve, and improve their designs is incredible. These kits have brought our learning to life, giving students the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math in a way that's engaging and fun.

Your support has made it possible for us to create a classroom filled with discovery and hands-on learning. Thank you for believing in my students and for helping to foster a love of exploration and creativity that will last a lifetime.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. M.

  • Books, Books, Books!

    Funded May 8, 2024

Our school library is flourishing because of donors like you! Thank you for your generosity and believing in the students. The smiles on the students and eagerness to read when they see new books arriving in the library is priceless. These books were released in 2023 and 2024, so they are relevant and peak the interest of even the students that do not like to read.

This year, the students get to check out books weekly at our school library. They, now, get to choose from a wider variety that meets their reading needs, including high interest books. This has grown more readers in our school, and the students really do love to read now. Again, thank you for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

  • Stimulating with STEAM

    Funded Sep 7, 2023

These books and supplies have already made such an incredible impact on our students. Two classroom teachers and myself have each implemented a lesson which consisted if pairing the books with an activity in the area of science. One example, the 3rd grade students read books about leaves and seeds, then examined seeds from a Chinese Oak tree. They could make connections to the literacy with the hands-on activity.

Another example was the 4th graders build cars out of various supplies and tested them for force and motion. They used the "Design Thinking" process and had to test and recreate to make it better. Both activities were extremely engaging and students were able to really express their creativity with the supplies. Thank you so much for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. M.
